I don't think people would pounce for them doing their jobs.

However, they've made so many missteps so far, they are in a precarious position, but this is their own fault. I don't think continually doing the wrong thing is going to help them. So far, I haven't seen anyone apologize for the actions of the police, which is really sad. If they showed some sense of humility or taking responsibility for their own actions, that would go a long way.

1) that, so far, isn't the same as what the police have officially stated has happened
2) the video is consistent with what the witnesses have been saying that he had his hands up yelling he was unarmed
3) if he was in fact running towards the cop, that could be a game changer, but no official has claimed this yet
