First the fact that Moyes had no money is a ridiculous assertion. He spent 66 million on TWO players and then also spent a lot of the first summer faffing about and dithering on bids to Thiago, Herrera, and chased unrealistic prospects like Fabregas.

Secondly stats don't show this but Man United are actually playing better football under LVG than under Moyes. The team was absolutely clueless under Moyes and the performances were just as frustrating. Now at least we have some semblance of control in our matches. The organization and shape is there but the team is lacking in the final third. Its up to LVG to figure out how to fix that.

Thirdly his record against direct rivals and the top 6 last year speaks for itself. United showed up for the big matches last year and that is why we finished 4th.

Lastly the rebuilding job LVG has had to do takes money. So LVG went on a shopping spree last year, that was expected after finishing 7th the year before and needing to clear out the deadwood in our squad. Why not take a look at how much United have slashed the wage bill over this transfer window? Or the fact that our net spend has been around 40 million this transfer window?

LVG achieved his goal last year and we shall see if he achieves it this year. Moyes couldn't even achieve the minimum, shit his team was so uninspiring he wouldn't even know what to do if he had a squad worth 200 million.

I am annoyed at his stubbornness though. Way too much philoshophy for my liking. I could understand that talk last year but against Swansea it was clear the philoshophy isn't working or needs to change.

I believe that LVG can keep us in the CL and satisfied with some big wins, hopefully a cup run. I also believe that we will see a much better team emerge after LVG retires because he has laid some good foundation down with some young kids (wish they were from United's academy though and not bought).

While he didn't get match day abuse and he wouldn't have even tomorrow if he hadn't signed this deal, he def. was not in good graces with our supporters. We are quick to forgive though and I am ecstatic he has signed a new deal. It was the right thing to do and now he can put this summer behind him and focus on doing what he does best. Our supporters love seeing a player like DDG play at Old Trafford and we will always be behind him.

Shit we forgave Rooney after his flirting with city, DDG was actually a whole deal more professional as much as I wanted to label him a cunt he did do well in handling this whole saga in not saying a word.
