why are we so streaky? We lost the lead against ga tech, and we lost it twice today. Other teams have come back against us too. We had a great run to come back against memphis. I have a guess people will say it is because of braxton/andree defense, but I have to think there is something else (I did notice that miller from uncg had a good run when beverly seemed to be guarding him).

Its because of our defense. When we press, or apply pressure, play are consistently out of position and get beat to the basket for easy buckets and a lot of fouls on us. When our players don't get beat off the pressure or get in foul trouble, we force turnovers or get stops and then go on a run. We gamble all game. every game.

Its feast or famine like in football if a team blitzes a lot. They are going to go on big streaks when they get sacks and are going to give up big plays when the blitz doesn't come home.

Contrast that with a team like Virginia that prioritizes playing consistent, conservative defense all game. Their streaks are based on when they make shots and when they don't.

I think it's more a mix of that we play fast so more possessions and that our offense gets complacent once we're up big. Just seems a lot more Daniels going 1 on 5 or guys forcing shots to get their own offense happens once we're up 10+. If we stayed focus full time on O like Virginia does on D we'd probably have the best offense in college basketball, but we don't because we don't have the same level of discipline
