Ok:

-Libby was hired by widmore to give desmond the boat.

-Widmore purposely sent desmond to the island.

-Widmore construction was responsible for building all of the hatches for the Hanso Corporation.

-Penelope used people inside her fathers company to learn all she could about where her father stuffed desmond, including the magnetic containment/discharge system they designed. This is how she knew to have the antarctica station monitoring for EMP.

-The others kidnapped jack, kate, and sawyer because they see no other way to hold thier attention long enough to explain to them what is happening, and that they should join together to fight Dharma.

-I think the magnetic think was throwing compasses off/messing with satellites, so the island was shielded. This means that the compass heading they gave michael will now be invalid, since it wont be effected by the magnet anymore, he will be back.

Just my thoughts. Tear them apart.

Hanzo vs. Others is right on.

The whole show is going to come down to the bad feelings between Jack's Dad and Alvar Hanso. Trust me.

I went back and transcribed that bit of the podcast and here it is:
Quote :
"
Carlton: The truth is that we've gotten ourselves into a bit of hot water here. I know we joke around a lot, but the fact is that we chose to reference the Hanso Foundation, which actually is a genuine ... supposedly sort of ... kind of beneficial organization based out of Scandanavia. We've included them in the show and the show's mythology and--

Damon: We thought it'd be cool because they're philanthropic, not a lot of people have heard about them, we love the name "Alvar Hanso," it's a little shady and mysterious, so we just built it into the whole Dharma initiative thing.

Carlton: It's sort of one of those things sort of like [name?] mixing fact and fiction in some of his novels, and we thought introducing the real life element of the Hanso Foundation into the fictional world of Lost would create a really interesting kind of combustion. Unfortunately it turned out to be more of thermonuclear combustion.

Damon: Apparently we've pissed them off and we're getting all sorts of legal letters. This guy Hugo McIntyre who is their communications director has personally lobbed in several calls to Carlton and I.

Carlton: He's actually doing a sort of a counteracting PR campaign. There were ads in the New York Times and LA Times from the Hanso Foundation disavowing "Bad Twin" and certain things that were in that book--

Damon: We're just trying to have a little fun, and they're taking it fairly seriously.

Carlton: It's a little bit like certain things in "The DaVinci Code." We're trying to use real life things and blend them with fiction, and sometimes people get angry when you do that.

Hot damn, somehting just fucking occured to me. The guy who was with Desmond in the hatch is the CIA guy who supervised Sayid and gave him $300 after the Gulf War. Used to be a spook indeed.

Fucking crazy.

Do you think a media juggernaut like ABC...or even the Disney Corp. would be as stupid as to carelessly write an existing corporation (Hanso) into their fictitious plot? Not to mention specifically using names of their executives in the show? That just screams all sorts of lawsuit for defamation and slander.

Also, Disney owns thehansofoundation.org...so that's got to tell you something.

Yeah I agree, as much thought as it appears these writers put into their show, there's no way they would base something in the show on something like that. The Hanso Corporation is not real, and the executives are not real. Having these things and people from the corporation appear on late night shows are just ploys by the writers to confuse people.

A couple people keep mentioning that Jack's dad is in on it..yet we have no proof yet that he is involved...is this just a blind prediction or am i missing something?

Yeah I know we saw him on the island in season 1, but chalked it up to a hallucination by Jack.

and he seems to be leading them to the island

hmm...I don't think he is leading them to the island. I thought it was coincidence that all those people were on the plane together... not any kind of systematic process...

However, then you have to explain how the "others" know their names. But if they have some sort of contact with the outside world, then they could get the names of the people on the flight from the airlines, news (i'm sure the news has mentioned the missing plane), etc....

Jack's dad's body wasn't in the casket. It was never found.

Jack's dad is slowly being revealed to have had a hand in everyone's life, or at least their being on the island.

"Him" has to be someone we've seen before. And it ain't Henry.

" Lost Casting Scoop!
I just received some exclusive intel on the new characters joining Lost. In addition to the two female roles, the show is also adding a new hunk. Descriptions are below:

# Female, thirties, with leadership qualities

# Female, early twenties, very attractive

# Male, Latino, early twenties, handsome, mysterious quality

My guess? These are some of the "background" survivors that Carlton Cuse told me would emerge next season. "

^^^^nothing that we know of. Yet. This is wild speculation on my part as it seems the others are working against Dharma.

^^^He didn't get out of it and walk away. He was never in there. Because he wasn't dead.

Too easy. Faking it. And before you get all "jack's a doctor and good at everything so he'd know if his dad was faking," remember that Jack's dad is a doctor, too, so he'd know how to do some good faking.

I saw the body in the flashback, but until someone shows me a dead jack's dad on the island, Jack's dad is in charge of the others.

dude, dead jacks dad isnt going to be on the island because the fucking airport wouldnt allow him to fly the corpse back.

And did you seriously suggest that because his dad was a doctor that he could somehow fake being dead well?

until i see some evidence that jack's dad has a good reason for faking his own death, i'm going to err on the side of "that's a far-fetched theory".

How could Jack's dad be the leader of the Others if he's only been on the island as long as the rest of the folks from flight 815?

We know he was in Australia right before the plane flew out...and before that, he was in the US w/ Jack. I have a hard time believing he could find time to slip away for covert trips down to BFE South Pacific to meet/organize/lead the Others.

It would be a crazy plot twist...but I think it would just be lame and unbelieveable if it were true...

Well....They could technically make it work/believable if the show is indeed going to be 4-5 seasons long... however... i just don't know. i think it is something much simpler than that...we are overlooking the obvious i believe...

I was just thinkin about this...but remember in the very 1st episode where Jack and Kate find the pilot in the cockpit and that monster thing takes him, kills him, and leaves him up in that tree? The monster was making all these loud noises and knocking over trees.

What happened to that thing? Seems like it made an appearance in season 1, but since then its been gone?

you know whats funny is that one of the thoeries posted a while ago that some thought was so good it could be a spoiler has been 100 percent verified thus far....so id advise people to not go back and check it out, it will spoil the entire series for you

its kinda nice to now that someone actually did crack this nut.....the finale verified it just about 100 percent

those outlines are good for 4 episodes for each season, the first and last two episodes

everything inbetween is bullshit laffy taffy they stretch just until its about to tear

the good guys thing makes sense if you consider a "others vs. hanso". the others think they're the good guys, they're defending themselves against the onslaught of hanso's n00bs.

oh, and sayid (naveen andrews) is in the 1995 movie first knight. lolocaust.

and common, it's so obvious that Pen is doing all she can to search for Des. you know, that entire bit of "if you have enough money and resources you can find anyone..."
