^When I use to live there we first ran into a problem with that with our original XBox and we just had to go in and put in the IP manually. But we never had problems with any of our 360's hooking up.

I will say good-luck to playing on Live at Wolf Creek in the evening, haha, LAG like crazy.

Almost bought RB2 today, but decided to wait. Also, got more MS points and bought out the rest of the stages for Katamari. Bought the Modern Metal track pack for GH3, and I love the themes they are coming out for C&C3:RA. I bought the Kelly Hu one today.

From the time I put in the Replacement request on xbox.com to me getting it from UPS was exactly two weeks for me.

The avatars currently are just gamer pictures.

The avatars we are speaking about are the 3D avatars that are being designed for the "new" xbox live.

I'm just waiting to see who is dumb enough to pay money for "special" shirts or something stupid for them.

From experience, you can return two of them within 45 days for other games

Just be sure when they ring the 3 games up, the one that comes up as the FREE on is one you want to keep, since you can't return it

I'll be buying NBA 2k9 and Saints Row 2 to keep, then 4 placeholders for Fable 2, Fallout 3, Gears of War 2 and either Call of Duty 5 or Red Alert 3

Eh

Mass Effect is hit and miss.

You can pass over Assassin's Creed without missing too much.

COD4 is probably good to grab, although the online play can get really annoying (for me). You already have Halo 3, which is roughly comparable.

Dead Rising is fun...I want to play that, I only fooled around on it and never did campaign.

Gears of War is good, but GoW2 is coming out soon. I guess you could pick up the original and get the back story.

Ninja Gaiden 2.

If you never played the first one (awesome awesome game), it is available for like $15 on Xbox Live marketplace.

Devil May Cry 4 is also fun if you are a fan of hack and slash games with over the top combos. Be warned though, both of the people you play are look like gay half-demons.

How to properly buy Placeholder games


I cannot guarantee this will work at all Toys R Us stores, some management might be against the idea, use at your own risk.

If a game you really want is coming out after the sale ends, but you don't want to risk missing out on something on the shelves right now, the step by step here is what you do. Remember, the return policy is set at 45 days from purchase.

1. Pick the two games that you want.

2. Pick up a game that has the same price point as the game coming out, and the same price point as the two games you picked up. Example, if the game you want is $60, buy three $60 games during the week.

3. Make sure that every third game rung up, the free one, is NOT the placeholder game, but one you want to keep. DO NOT LOSE THE RECEIPT!

4. When the game you want comes in, bring the receipt and the placeholder game to the customer service desk, and tell them that you want to exchange the game for something else. Make sure you make specific that you want to keep the one or two games, and that you want one or two different games instead. MAKE SURE THE GAME YOU WANT TO RETURN IS NOT OPENED.

5. If everything is in order, the exchange will be finished and enjoy your new game!

The 45 days will take you into the first week of December, so plan accodingly.

^^What I'm looking forward to is the group chat, so when I play COD4 with more than one of my friends that we can all chat together and not have to listen to every annoying, pre-pubescent dickwad on Xbox live. The Netflix on demand thing is pretty cool too.
