so ive been wanting a manicure for awhile. its been at least 6 months since i got one. i decided i'd rather not pay for one this time around so i went to target and bought a sally hansen kit for around $5. comes with the white polish, the opaque polish and the clear coat. it also has adhesive strips to put on your nails to make sure your white tips are consistent. i thought it was a pretty good deal and i had plans to watch a few movies tonight anways so i gave it a shot.

i spent 2 motherfucking hours on this manicure!! between the nail clipping, cuticle cutting and filing, not to mention my OCD nature in putting on the adhesive strips and waiting for each polish to dry before moving on to the next. i do have to admit though that i am pretty impressed with the results.

so ladies, if you have 2 hours to kill (maybe your bf chose a movie you don't care to really watch) the $5 kit is worth the price if you have some patience.

i ended up cutting the provided strips in half to double how many future manicures i can get. it worked perfectly. i would also highly recommend the $5 correction pen you can buy in the nail section. its like a white out pen with a hard tip so you can fix little mistakes when you miss your nail. i used it throughout and at the end my manicure looked professional

Some time back, I thought I was getting my regular zit tx in new packaging, but it was a new product (clean and clear's advantage acne spot treatment; I accidentally got the mark treatment from that line)

It was wretched. Tore my skin up, and smelled like superglue to boot. So I finally got around to calling to let them know that, hey, superglue scent is a bad idea. They were more concerned with the skin reaction (turns out the major difference between the two is glycolic acid. Good to know.)

And their customer service was A+++; I'm glad it was, because I like that zit treatment and would have some qualms about supporting a product that's part of a company that treats customers like shit.

I probably paid $6-8 for it at Target. They're sending me a $10 coupon. FTW!

I tried some new Burt's Bees spot treatment stuff, and it smells like licorice. Which is bad if you hate licorice.

On that note, I've noticed that the more I work out the more I break out. I've noticed in the past that washing my face with a cleanser more than once a day seems to actually make it break out more, so I'm not sure that just washing my face more is really going to alleviate the problem, but I take my shower first thing in the morning and go to the gym after work. What do the rest of you do to keep breakouts from happening after working out? I wish I had the discipline to work out first thing in the morning and then shower after that but I sadly don't.

yea, for the BJ currency stuff, I've personally never done that...I mean, when you are asking for something, are you just asking the guy to give you oral sex in exchange for giving him a BJ? Or are you asking him to wash your car and you'll give him a BJ? I've never really felt the need to do this...If I asked a guy to do a favor, they just did it! Haha. maybe that was just the guys i date?

I think y'all are taking it the wrong way... It's not like you say to your S.O. "hey I'll give you a BJ if you buy me this." we just noticed the more we were paying attention to that area, we just happened to get nicer stuff. To us it was more of a happiness thing - the happier you make him the happier he will be when it comes to present time. and no, after talking about this system (even with our boyfiends) it didn't devalue our intimacy at all.. They laughed when we talked about it with them. What's the difference between that and sucking up for something nice?

* I should add the disclaimer that this theory of ours didn't include random people.. More like men you're in a relationship with.

Hmm...honestly, I can't say that I understand it still, nor have I ever felt the need to use this strategy or whatever. Whenever I asked the significant other to do a favor for me, I have never given him a BJ or anything like that strictly because he did this favor for me. Now, if we ended up getting intimate later that night, then so be it. But it had (or so I thought) nothing to do with the fact that he did a favor for me.

But ultimately, whatever any of you all do in your relationships is your business. To each her own!

^3 I did a month or two ago and had to go to the ER. The pain was so bad they thought it was my appendix at first... It's probably a bladder infection that has started moving up into your ureters towards your kidneys (that's what they told me). Might want to go to a urologist and get it checked out.......
