Call of Duty 5 looks pretty cool so far but its mainly going to come down to multiplayer for most people

I'm betting a lot of people who became so reliant on the red dot sight will struggle when the game goes back 60+ years in military technology

Ok.. just got my 360 back and caught up on sme downloads.

I would like to send a big "FUCK You!" to Beat'n Groovy, Shadow Assault/Tenchu, War World, and the Mega Man 9 level that they give you to demo. These are all arcade trials I downloaded and they al just pissed me off. Beat'n groovy is a horrible follow the rhythm game... and I mean horrible. The tenchu game was not what I thought and after 2 mins I realized the game would not even be fun if I did buy it. War World seemed like it had potential to be ok.... for the entire 40 seconds they let you demo it!! seriousy.. 40 seconds then it kicks you out. Then there is my beloved Mega Man which gives you a level that is retarded to demo... Fucking random shit knocking you into holes... although I bet I could have breezed through it pretty quick when I was 8.

Well, I was planning to do the whole buy 2, get 1 free deal from TRU, and I know I want NBA 2K9 and Rock Band 2. I really don't know what game I want for free at the moment. My friend suggested Bioshock, which I thought was a good choice. I am not sure what I want since there are so many games coming out between now and the end of the year. Any suggestions?

I've been playing Saints Row 2 for the last couple of hours. I never really got into the first one and this one doesn't look like it's that different. If you liked the first one, I guess this one will be great, but after GTA IV this game kinda feels like a PS2 game or something.

Pluses: Magic unlimited parachute
Cruise control
Setting said cruise control and then bailing out of the car and watching it run down peds.

Minuses:Graphics
AI
Driving Physics
Any other kind of Physics

I give it a C+ so far.

shrug, its getting pretty good reviews.

the first one was fun since i hadnt played gta in a while and added a few new things to the mix. the graphics werent bad so i dont see how they could be bad in the second one. they werent as realistic or gritty as GTA, but that didnt make them bad.

that said, i probably wont buy it.

How's Battlefield: Bad Company? That might be my free game I pick from TRU. I know everyone and their mom has COD4, but with the new one coming out like next month, I don't want to get it and everyone playing the new World at War.

Either that, or I'll just see if I can use that game to get something late this year.

^^ I play Bad Company's multiplayer almost religiously. I haven't touched a single minute of the singleplayer campaign, but I've been told that it's quite good. The one complaint which I have with Bad Company is that the weapons all across the board tend to feel pretty underpowered.

Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway demo is out. I think it is okay, but I am not a fan of squad based games that require you to point your team where to go all the time. Every man for himself!!!

Dead Space got a great score from IGN (8.7 I think), I'm looking forward to it. On a sidenote, Force Unleashed was just too short. The gameplay was great, but I plowed through it like a day and a half.

Well, I found out that Dead Space will be out tomorrow, so I guess I'll get my games then. They have a free d/l for a suit with some powerups. I think it's a temporary thing, so I'm getting it tonight.

But yeah, NBA 2K9, Dead Space, and Rock Band 2 for free.

Tom Clancy's EndWar demo is up.

I thought the voice recognition was neat, but there's a steep learning curve for knowing how to get everything done. Some tasks are still easier with the buttons.

Played the Brothers in Arms demo... terrible. The squad commands were neat, but I'd rather just play through CoD 2 again.

holy shit End War is fucking badass! The voice commands are flawless and really easy to use! Can't wait for this game!

you can just speak fast complete sentences and it will recognize your orders and execute them.

i got this on the TRU deal (plus star wars and i'll return a game for dead space since they were out). i'm having trouble adjusting to all the little tweaks they did to the gameplay. but the last fifa i played was '06 on ps2, and i was decent at that, but i do realize they changed a lot since then. stuff like getting open in box for a cross or how to tackle the ball away on defense. but it does look awesome and how the players react in different ways when they run into each other i thought was very realistic. it updates a league of your choice (i chose EPL) automatically, so thats cool too.

but in other news whats the verdict on dead space anyone? its worth it i take it?
