No joke. I've been looking at both the Hampton Arena and PNC to see if any scraps fall through, no dice yet.

One day Pearl Jam is gonna have a real dust-up over the ticket situation in this country and things will get fixed.

Uh, so you have to shell out $250 for Moogfest? No way to see individual shows or nightly events?

Anyone going to see Slayer with Testament Saturday? Gong with my brother. We both listened to these bands back in the 80s and early 90s but neither of us has seen either of them live. Sort of a bucket list item for concerts.

Was able to catch All Dogs, Porches, Yuck, Alex G, Broncho, True Widow, and Self Defense Family Saturday and then Deftones (still so good live) last night. Solid weekend.

All Dogs and Porches were really good. But Self Defense Family really surprised me, considering I had barely listened to them previously. Think Slint, fugazi, and mewithoutYou?

saw a video of him covering that^. he did a lot better on the chorus than I expected.

An old friend of mine is on the road with San Fermin and they stopped in Dallas last night. I'm not a huge fan but I do like a handful of their songs so I wasn't going to turn down a free show.

You have a track record of falling in love with band members, and you didn't deny it, so I don't think it was a reach tbh.

Yeah... I dropped the ball. I couldn't justify $250 each for tickets to it, so I just tuned out all Moogfest talk to try and forget the fact that I was missing it.

Turns out, I could have gone if I had actually paid attention.

I did manage to find a $99 ticket for 2017 that I already bought, but still need one more for my wife.

it's definitely shitty in my eyes that the more affordable tickets weren't publicized more/the restrictions on purchase weren't as advertised

hopefully that's one of the things they'll tighten up next year

DIIV was enjoyable Friday, but he's still a douche.

Nada Surf was surprisingly very good live. Such a fun show.

Looking forward to seeing Refused again on Friday. They always have such an energy to their sets, and seeing them in a smaller club should amplify that.

Refused was incredible Friday. They were one of those bands I was obsessed with in high school and college - way, way ahead of their time. But I figured I'd never see them live since they broke up before I really got into them. Being from Sweden didn't help either.

So glad they got back together a few years ago though. Top 3 set of the year for me so far.

Hotelier set Friday re-confirmed that Goodness is one of my favorite albums this year.

Tiny Moving Parts and Prawn were fun last night, though I felt like the oldest guy there.

I have PUP coming up tomorrow and then At the Drive-In in Boston Saturday.

Panic! At the Disco was on point last night!

Also, Weezer did pretty well - better set than when they came through 2 years ago.

That guy was too much of a douche to enjoy.

- He told terrorists to "Eat a Dick". Pretty mature.
- He congratulated his sober friend but had to throw in that he still drinks.
- Indulgent drum solo for no reason except to show that he can play something.
- Covering Bohemian Rhapsody? I'm sorry but no one can really pull that off and he didn't.
- His shirt.
- He took off that shirt, an improvement but he still took off his shirt.
- How he kept talking about doing drugs and fucking to sound cool.
- How he came out wearing a rainbow flag. It reminded me of how the PC Bros on South Park crush some puss.
- His songs.

I was glad to see Weezer hit the stage.

both Petal and Pity Sex were fun last night. Got to chat with the female vocalist in Pity Sex for a bit later that night. Fun chick and I always love getting into discussions about fuzz pedals Their tone was killer though. And I got a lead on a new bass fuzz pedal to try.
