Okay!
boneless, skinless chicken breast is $1.88/lb at kroger. My (super frugal) mom's stock-up price is $2/lb.
...I got a chest freezer for my birthday
I'm so inappropriately excited about this. I'm not even meaning to practice being a SAHM 12/2/2009 8:07:51 PM |

This has been on my birthday and xmas list for years, and now on my wedding registry.
Someday...

Dude, it's so great. After xmas, Z and I are going to attempt to not buy any groceries other than fresh items like veggies and milk for two months. I tend to keep a stocked kitchen, and we need to use a lot of it. Then I'll re-stock it all
^^I need to get a turkey somewhere while they're still cheap. I LOVE having a chest freezer so much. E.g.: I like skim milk. Z likes whole. We compromise at 1%. The store was out of it. So I bought skim and 2%, mixed them up in a mason jar, and threw the rest in the freezer I also have a bread hookup for that $$$$ whole grain stuff, and so we have bread in there too. I've had this thing for a week? 2 weeks? it's 1/3 full, I'd guess

Z and I have had many conversations about this. I adore working, but I will also enjoy being a SAHM if my recent schedule is any indication Plus, he wants 9 kids.

i know diva baby is going to come in here and yell at me because i ask this every year haha but my face is SOOO dry.
and yes, i know that her suggestions for face cream are probably the best but they are the expensive kindddddddd
are there any cheap (relatively cheap - like things that can be found at target) good face moisturizers? i guess i could try aveno but even that is kinda expensive its like $13 or so for a little tube.
right now i'm using this avon moisture 24 stuff in morning and night. it works the best out of the inexpensive stuff i've tried so far. but my skin is still dry. especially the chin area under my bottom lip and the sides of my nose. i used to have dry eyes and all around dryness but the avon has worked on the rest of my face.
just wondering what inexpensive things people use! the avon moisture 24 is like $10 and that is still like, yikes to me only because i used to buy the target olay knockoff for like $3. but that wasn't cutting it!
the weirdest part about my skin is it is super dry but i still get pimples occasionally. does that happen to anyone else? 12/2/2009 9:54:05 PM |

^i use the target brand of Oil of Olay face moisturizer (has an SPF 15 or 20 I think)...and it's great! i get dry skin too, esp. in the winter, and i would say I have combination skin. the target brand costs around $5 i think.
also, I use oil of olay nighttime face "skin-firming" cream also. LOL. i figured I should start the anti-aging process now 12/2/2009 10:08:49 PM |

^ that is what i was using but do they make a dry skin version?
i was using the just regular one. is that what you use? if they make a dry skin one maybe that is what i should try.
the normal one works fine in the summer for me but now that it is cooler outside (on some days haha) my skin is getting tres dry! 12/2/2009 10:10:12 PM |

I seriously had to think about that acronym "SAHM".... I had no idea what yall were talking about
then I got it.
I don't think I would ever want to be a SAHM but I'm glad the profession I'm going into is really open and friendly concerning that. A lot of the ladies I've job shadowed are part time but still get paid well. They see patients from about 8-12ish and then go home, or they'll come in from like 12 to 4-5ish.
BTW... kadwackle, I use J&J's "Purpose" moisturizer and I love it. Clinique is also good.

Just stand up straight. I mean I'm not great at walking in them, but I wore them a lot in high school so I'm at least able to walk in them without looking so awkward. I don't wear them that much anymore.

Boots with heels are way easier and more comfy to walk in than regular heels imo, because the rest of the shoe clings to your legs and makes sure it doesn't fall off. Boot heels are the way to go if you aren't confident in pumps. 12/3/2009 6:52:25 PM |

This is weird, y'all might can help me out....but I'm having weird discoloration on my arms and my feet. Like at first I thought it was just from the sun and stuff but now that I'm starting to lose the summer tan I still have these "tan line" things...but it's like they are dirty. I've scrubbed at them but they don't come off. Also the skin is really rough in these areas.
I can take pictures if that will help anyone, but does anyone know what is going on? 12/3/2009 7:14:52 PM |

lucyinthesky, i have wanted to try latisse, but then again, i already have really long, thick lashes (but don't get too jealous...they are soooo straight and i wish they could permanently be curled...even though i know that you can get "perms" for eyelashes...anyhoo...). how many treatments do you have to get?
also....

i sooooo agree! i'm a shorty as well, and absolutely ADORE my high heels, but sometimes, i gotta tuck them away for a week just to give my joints a rest. My hips and knees bother me so much after wearing heels, but i have health problems. I can't help it...just love heels.

Someone was asking about face moisturizers? (several, several posts back)
And I thought I'd put my two cents in. I had sunburn really bad, and tried this stuff out. Cleared up my peeling skin like no ones business and kept me from peeling more!
Dove Deep Moisture facial lotion. SPF 15 too.
Doesn't leave that oily feeling, absorbs well, and is cheap. Try it out. A little bit goes a long way. It does have a scent to it.
