:-/[Edited on July 15, 2008 at 1:01 PM. Reason : and this wii music looks dumb Ø]
7/15/2008 12:57:39 PM
Wii Music looks like a fun waste of time for 4 year olds. I mean its obviously going to be compared to Rock Band and GH, and it may take off with the younger audiences.
7/15/2008 1:06:22 PM
or idiots[Edited on July 15, 2008 at 1:07 PM. Reason : less harsh Ø]

7/15/2008 1:07:59 PM

7/15/2008 1:08:24 PM
This conference is gay. Nintendo has totally separated themselves from enthusiast gamers.
7/15/2008 1:09:17 PM
So the very first game on the console, which the main purpose was to teach you the remote, was one of the biggest hits and now has a sequellol, love itgood luck finding this package in the next 2 years oh, I just read what games are in it, and i'm actually not impressedfrisbee golf, jet ski, and sword fightingmeh[Edited on July 15, 2008 at 1:13 PM. Reason : .]
7/15/2008 1:10:54 PM
wow..what a weak conference...no new titles featuring any of their classic characters, mario, zelda, metroid, etc....
7/15/2008 1:13:45 PM
yeah and ohhh goodmore mini games:-/
7/15/2008 1:14:22 PM
I guess next E3 is when they introduce the new zelda game with 1:1 sword motions
7/15/2008 1:14:58 PM
Kinda makes you wonder what Nintendo is doing with all that cash other than just swimming in it.
7/15/2008 1:15:30 PM
Wii Resort will not be available till Spring of 2009, so its plausible to see them holding back newer versions of Zelda or Metroid until E3 next year. Solely on seeing how the new wii-motion does in the market. Wii Resort was to have more than 3 games correct? I don't see Nintendo going soft on the ridiculous mini-games now.
7/15/2008 1:22:26 PM
Talk about disappointing. I'm more interested in the 360's lineup than the Wii's, which is pretty sad. You'd think at least ONE major franchise would've been shown.
7/15/2008 1:27:38 PM
7/15/2008 1:34:17 PM
i bet the development price of wii sports is cheap as all get out...i'm not looking forward to any wii games coming out soon...wish i could go out and get a 360 or ps3 but i can't spend that much money
7/15/2008 1:37:55 PM
^^ See i thought I heard Reggie say they were showing "just some of the activites" you can find on Resort. I'm not reading anybody's literature right now though. And come on no new games interest you?! Major League Eating just came out for WiiWare!
7/15/2008 1:45:32 PM
Hahahahaha, Nintendo just doesn't give a fuck
7/15/2008 1:50:21 PM
yeah right, we've been ditched[Edited on July 15, 2008 at 2:02 PM. Reason : yep]
7/15/2008 2:01:14 PM
"we've got Animal Crossing" has to be the most ridiculous interpretation of what "hardcore" gamers want in the history of video games.
7/15/2008 2:06:18 PM
He knows exactly what the questions means and is referring to, but of course he is going to say "We've got....", b/c that is what he is paid to say. Nintendo has ditched hardcore gamers. It is obvious.
7/15/2008 2:07:37 PM
Dude, what are you talking about? It's got voice chat!!!On the internet!!!!!!!!!!
7/15/2008 2:07:53 PM
Yeah...oh well. Bunch of fat bastards are playing prevent defense and after all - from a purely business standpoint why wouldn't they? Keep doing what is printing money...but I'd wish they'd take some of that fat loot and invest in segementing their casual business to spin off and separate so they can still cater to more enthusiast and involved gamers with their flagship studios. Any jackass can make mini games and wii party games.Nowadays te Wii for me is more or less just a machine that I can get my wife and her friends to play when everyone is over to the house for shits and giggles. That's about it.
7/15/2008 2:12:57 PM
My Wii is to get my non-gamer friends and wife to playMy 360 is for people that actually enjoy games
7/15/2008 2:13:24 PM
My wife won't even play Wii. I got her to playing bowling a few times but that's it. 95% of my Wii play time is alone...the other 5% when a buddy comes over.I'm missing out on the good games on the other systems.

7/15/2008 2:29:28 PM
wow, I came here to catch up on all the big news I had missed out on
7/15/2008 2:57:44 PM
Some insiders are saying that Nintendo only had time for a 1-hour conference. For that reason, they are having a press conference later in private that will debut some more "popular" games. Why they didn't show those instead, I'll never know. I guess they wanted to show the "new" stuff at the big press conference.
7/15/2008 3:23:46 PM
That might make a little bit more sense. This might be the show Nintendo puts on for the mainstream press who'll lap up the prospect of a new Wii sports, improved motion controller, and using the wii balance board.Still would've made sense to end on some kind of huge announcement like when they unveiled Twilight Princess a few years back.

I just gotta reiterate this:

Yay, finally got a Wii this morning! Was able to use a 10% coupon, and then $260 worth of gift cards. Also wound up getting Wii Fit. Got home, hooked it all up, and then my wife proceeded to kick my ass at Boom Blox. That game is so much fun.
7/20/2008 11:04:19 PM
^ I've been trying to find Boom Blox cheap for about a month now

meh. I thought the whole damn show was disappointing. The only game I have any interest in playing whatsoever for the rest of 2008 is Gears of War 2. But that doesn't mean Nintendo's conference was any less pathetic. I've been playing their systems since early childhood, but I seriously feel I'm on the last straw with them. The longer I play their systems, the more stale and uninspired their games feel. The one notable exception to this in recent memory was Super Mario Galaxy. However, I haven't completely lost my faith in them.Based on what I've read on the new Zelda, it will be the huge evolution I have been looking for. I've been a little skeptical, but given Nintendo's track record, it's sure to blow minds.I thought the GameCube was disappointing, but I could forgive it because it wasn't an online console and the controller worked like the controllers for the other systems. I could appreciate it because it had a lot of great games, but disappointed me because it didn't seem to have as many good games as the N64.The Wii disappoints me mainly because it's got such vast potential to kick ass and it isn't being used. The Virtual Console is solid, but it seems like the online aspect, the games, multiplayer, and all the other innovations that were once so mindblowing are coming off underwhelming.I used to think that the Wii was having the same problem as the DS; that the game developers just hadn't figured out how to make the most of the unique control system and develop interesting games for it. But after seeing their E3 conference this year, I wonder if they are even trying.
