Avery was an explosive point guard on the best team in the country that year. I mean he did leave after that year and go in the NBA lottery. You're probably right with Duhon but he was quick, however more of a facilitator.

I just was trying to point out that Duke, over Coach K's entire tenure, has been a a fast paced team. Their recent players have just forced them to play a little differently. Can't really get up and down with Greg Paulus running the show.


I hope State still has a shot with him, who knows at this point. Wall simply will not tip his hand in the slightest. I think he is probably Kentucky's to lose though.

so that the mainstream media can say how undesirable our coaching job here is... if we force out another coach this soon that's certainly what I would say if I weren't associated with the school. Naturally, I know all the reasons why NC State is a good coaching job, ACC, history, but recruits weren't alive when we even won our last ACC championship. Lowe may or may not get the job done, but at least give him a few seasons with all of his recruits before we show everyone else that if you're not successful right away you're out of here.

First of all, there are other fanbases that are worse than us about voicing their displeasure, and they do just fine on their next coaching search.. see Kentucky this year.

Are you kidding me? We have been the exact opposite of this for the past decade. When's the last time we have fired a basketball coach? If we fire Lowe next year or even this year after where our team has finished the past three years, I don't think anybody would be giving NC State the kind of hell that you are making it out to be. If anything our head coaching position may be one of the most secure in the nation, especially under Fowler.

Maybe so. Quite a few programs have been busted for similar things. But I'm sure NCSU has done its homework.

My only concern is that he just jumps on the flight with everyone else on the team (so he's on a chartered flight with the team that he doesn't pay for), hence making him representative.
