^i was there as well. up in the balcony section. was a good show, but not the best of the 7 times i've seen them. i'd put a couple years ago at haw river and when i saw them in philly right after bloom came out above that for sure.

I just got some tickets on CL in Section B on the field. I'm still a little skeptical about Axl's voice but have heard good reviews. They aired one of the live performances on XM and his voice didn't sound good but live concerts don't always translate well through recordings.

Their set was really solid; they're certainly a well-oiled machine. The free ticket ended up being in a great spot too.

I haven't been able to get into the new album but the songs were fun live. I'm most familiar with Funeral through Suburbs and they played a good amount of material off those albums which was nice to finally see live for the first time. Overall a solid show to add to my packed fall lineup (ie: Father John Misty tomorrow).

I meant to tell you that I did catch the last 2 songs of Kevin Morby's set the other weekend. I was double booked that night so I didn't get to go to the show proper. But it was rad because I thought he was playing a venue near me but instead he was actually playing the restaurant attached to the venue Made me kind of regret not seeing the whole show.
