It basically says--"use your time more wisely, we're tired of the short days, we want our lives back." Which is funny, since the judge pointed out the jury was the reason we started lately today, AND the jury is the reason for the half day.

No^^. The judge ruled that he is not allowed to testify, because the prosecution didn't have time to prepare for him. So, they are doing this as an offer of proof. The jury won't hear his testimony unless the prosecution does something in rebuttal to open this door again.

This guy is saying those cops screwed up the computer.

Eh, I think he comes across as probably the most professional of all the expert witnesses the defense has used.

It's a damn good thing for the state they got his testimony supressed, because he just destroyed their only even slightly damning piece of evidence.

\/ In a nutshell. All files related to the google search had invalid timestamps, 83% of the files were suspect with regards to timestamps, 17% were fine, malware present, cary PD didn't secure the computer or treat it forensically, and there were a lot of deleted files which he felt was strange (should never be done when doing forensics on a computer).
