^I was using that as part of a question about what percentage of people watched it live vs DVR/streaming/etc.

^i think that is a hard number to compare. The amount of viewers watching alternatively (next day DVR, next month, next year via Netflix, etc) will only continue to grow and outnumber the live audience. But that goes back to live TV being much like live news or live sports. In order for the media outlets to stay relevant they have to report on it as it happens. Nature of the beast.

That plus the channels themselves want you to watch as many shows live as possible, as that viewership mainly brings in the advertising money. They're not going to do things to not encourage you to watch it live.

did anyone else watch the bullshit I just watched? so basically they wasted a whole season on finding one character, trying to build that character's development and then they just killed her off? What a waste. and it's just damn Beth. Aint no one going to miss her. Then, to insult the audience, they threw in that bullshit with Maggie. She barley mention the girl the whole season. This is the where's Sophie season all over again. the writers are bullshitting us.

and I'm mad they wrapped up that whole Terminus thing in basically two episodes

Y'all remember when Darryl went back to the church maybe 4-5 episodes ago and had somebody with him? That person was hiding in the dark of the woods. And Rick was like "where's Carol?" or something and Darryl's like "ok come on out now" And then the episode just ends.

Did we ever find out what happened there? I'm drawing a complete blank and can't remember it at all.

I think it was the black boy.

They never showed it again but they later showed him at camp with the others, so I assume it was him.

Yeah I assumed it was Noah as well. But I don't recall that scene being in the actual episode, even though it was in the previews/teaser

Yeah I remember talking about it ITT and thinking it was probably Noah too. Maybe it was a preview for a future episode...I can't remember for sure. Still not entirely clear on what was happening there

http://uproxx.com/tv/2014/12/the-walking-dead-companion-series-cobalt-has-revealed-its-sunny-setting/

Quote :
"As we’ve mentioned before, The Walking Dead spin-off — which has a working title of Cobalt — is less of a spin-off and more of a “companion” series set in the same universe. No characters from The Walking Dead will be expected to spin-off into Cobalt, which would be particularly difficult given where Cobalt will be set.

According to TV Line, Cobalt will take place on a completely different coast. It’ll take place in Los Angeles, though it’s unclear if that is where the show will also be shot (or if another city will stand-in of L.A.).

Cobalt has also already begun to piece together its cast. Cliff Curtis (Gang Related, Missing) will play the male lead (a divorced teacher) opposite the female lead, a guidance counselor, and her two children, played by Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey."

i've had the final two episodes sittin on my DVR since they aired and haven't watched them yet. Sadly, I don't really have the interest to...and I hate that, because I really liked how this season started

What, about almost 10 minutes worth of filler with dead characters, some of which have been dead for over a season?

^^ lol yep to both of those.

I feel like they can't drive more than 20 miles before running into some new kind of thing that sidetracks them for a season but they made it hundreds of miles without any issues. They've been stuck bumming around Atlanta and its surrounding areas for like two years now (in show time).

Also, I'm surprised Bob lasted as long as he did with Tyrese there too. I guess if Noah was to join the regular cast, Tyrese had to die. There can only be one.

[Edited on February 9, 2015 at 12:32 PM. Reason : btw, Tyrese at full run couldn't keep up with a limping Noah]

Bob doesn't even get his leg back in the after life. That's really going to hurt his field goal kicking ability.

I assume the whole Glenn getting the baseball bat from the frame was allusion.

Again...nearly 10 minutes of us seeing characters (none of which anybody cared about except for Bob) long since dead. This show wasted 1.5 seasons on the governor...nobody wants to see him anymore. How many filler episodes are we going to get before they stop that crap? It's like they're afraid to move the plot forward.

WASTED on the gov? He is prob the best villain they have had on the show.

That said, I'm not sure why Tyrese would have a death vision about him. I didn't really understand what he meant by "the bill has to be paid".

Tyrese was one of the group that chose to stay with the Governor and bought in to all of his BS. So it was probably guilt related to that. Guilt about Beth, Bob, the kids, the Gov.

that being said Gov sucks. No more Gov.

I'm not that concerned with the time jump. A show like this has to do it at some point. My question still always remains "Where did they find all that gas!?"

Siphoning gas from abandoned cars is an easy answer, but after a couple years it's gonna be degraded a bit and they're gonna run into engine problems.

Gasoline does "expire" though, especially after multiple seasons of varying temperatures and humidity. I'm not an expert but I can't imagine that it is still good after a few years. It would probably have turned to sludge.

This episode was terrible.

The Governor was the worst thing that they've had on this show as well. Nothing was interesting or compelling about him. He was terribly written and acted. His entire arc is a big reason this show is now having to try and climb out of the shitter it is in.

This episode didn't help.

You know I honestly liked the leader of the Terminus group as a villain. He was a good actor. I would have liked to see him last a little longer.

Also, anyone who has lived this long in the universe they've set up who still gets surprised by a zombie is just silly. I guess maybe he thought the zombie was secure behind a hollow spec-home door.

Yeah have a hard time believe someone who survived over a year in this type of world would get caught off guard like Tyrese was.

But at the same time, Tyrese has needed to go for a while. His character has been useless for the most part, he's basically just been a Manny for Baby Ass-Kicker.

I really enjoyed it. There were zombies. There were interesting screen wipes/transitions. There was a character death. There was heart. It makes it feel like Tyreese has gotten more of a character arc than Rick has.
