So I was hoping they would explain this but they didn't. In last week's episode after the RV got separated from the other car and Glenn drove through that horde of zombies -- the RV group shot the flair up so that Rick & co. could find them. Aaron was in the back seat with Michonne and as soon as he saw the flair he started freaking out shouting "It's all over" and stuff. He went as far as the almost kick the car door off the hinges and took off running. What was the deal with that?

^Yeah they explained that in the show. It was the boyfriend shooting his flare because he was in trouble(messed up his ankle). The RV crew went there thinking it was Rick's car that had shot the flare. So they all ended up at the same location.

This last episode was one of my favorite episodes in the whole series. Watching this feral group of people trying to assimilate back into "normalcy" was interesting, and some great one liners and subtleties had me cracking up.

Daryl carrying his opossum half the episode, including during his interview brought the most LOLs. If not for Rick still being on edge and considering overthrowing Alexandria if things dont go well, I think Daryl would say fuck it and leave. He only really got up for helping Glenn in his fight, and seeming excited by Rick's plan at the end. Other than that, he has been rejecting their new situation; teasing Carol, not showering, gutting an opossum on a nice clean porch, carrying his crossbow after being asked to turn in all weapons, etc.

What's the deal with Carol and her interview? Sounded like she blatantly lied during the whole thing to get the job she did. My guess is she wanted something where she could get a chance to talk to a lot of people to get the real scoop.

^i think you figured it out on your own there. she's playing weak and naive which will help her get on the inside quicker and gain some trust. smart woman.

Also, i'm guessing that Rick's missing gun stashed in the blender is a result of Alexandria having more eyes on the group than first originally thought. seems like spies are everywhere.

^I thought that was awesome of her character. Even from the get-go when she was "struggling" to take her assault rifle off of her shoulder. Then to talk about how she missed her "big lug" of a sweet husband every day was diabolical. Daryl telling her, "you look ridiculous" as she walked away was a good moment too.

Man, they really went over-the-top-douche with Aiden, didn't they?

Yeah Carol is playing Possum. Reason the writers used a possum for the dead animal? What's the word I'm looking for? alluding?

Considering how big their community is, I'd think they'd have to have A LOT of people hiding on the outskirts for one of them to randomly see Rick plant the gun in the blender, which doesn't seem likely. That makes me think that Aaron was just the talker and they had a group following them the whole time.

Any thoughts on what the angsty girl was doing out in the woods? As soon as I saw her climbing the fence I thought "That dumb girl is gonna do something stupid and someone is gonna die for it." I guess it didn't happen this week, but if she keeps climbing out it will happen in the future.

They were pretty heavy-handed this last episode trying to really stress a few key things(how strong Rick's team is, how weak the people in Alexandria are, how big of a douche Aiden is, etc). I get why they're doing some of the things they are, just wish it was a bit more subtle(like Carol).

I actually thought that girl might have been the one to find the gun since she could have been spying on them since she must have been somewhat in the area for Carl to end up there when Rick had the zombies rolling up on him.

Though it might have been Alexandria folks since they have equipment to spy on people.

Yeah I was thinking it might be the girl who took the gun. The gun had something carved on the handle right? Was is it Rick's gun or Aaron's?

Aaron had some crappy snub-nosed revolver, IIRC. I thought the blender gun was a Glock with a "J" marked on it. I couldn't remember what the "J" was for, but obviously a unique marking so he'll be able to identify it later when he finds it on whoever.

ah...you're right. Could very well be the girl and she's probably got it stashed in her bag. And it'll probably wind up in Carl's hands when things go bad for Rick's group/

one of the best episodes in the series IMO

when Carl was in the house by himself (after Carol left) and he heard the footsteps upstairs, my heart rate legitimately jumped to about 150 bpm. if they drew that moment out any longer i would have lost my shit

I was hoping Khorrl at least got to second base with that girl in the woods. He hasn't had any time to learn about sex since it all started.

Any speculation on the 'W' they found? The stamp Rick got certainly seemed connected. A for Alexandria, W for I dunno. Alexandrians probably don't call them 'walkers' so I dunno.

lol at Carol's threat to the kid

and I think Cynthia has PTSD

If Morgan St is foreshadowing Morgan's return then maybe the "W" was actually an "M"

But didn't the walkers outside Noah's old neighborhood have a letter marked on them too? The ones that were locked in the car?

Yeah the town that Noah went to where Tyrese died also had the "W" carved into their heads. You could also tell that the town had been attacked by someone other than zombies.

A few other things I've noticed:
1. The town where Tyrese died had something about "Wolves Not Far" spray painted.
2. The girl that Khorl is all about was carrying a comic that had "Wolves" in the title.
3. The "W" carved in the head of the zombies.

So maybe a group called the "Wolves" shows up for a fight? Just not sure if the girl Khorl is crushing on is working for them(sneaking off into the woods) or just mysterious to add to Khorl's curiosity about her.

It seemed like Carol left the party a good while before the kid would have left. Not sure how he followed her. After Carol left they had the scene with the kid about the cookies being gone, then the stamp, then it sounded like he joined some other kids to play right after.

^Wasn't that whole thing just Rick dreaming? Next flash it shows him back in his bed.

Also funny they stamped "A" on her and Rick's hand but I didn't see anyone else with it. Some Scarlet Letter stuff going on?

^ah, maybe it was a dream or Rick hallucinating it. The husband didn't sound the same on the porch as when he met him at the party.

It appeared to be just a kid playing with the stamp, so he might have only stamped them... but good call on the Scarlett Letter reference, I didn't make that connection but it makes total sense.

they're going to have to killer her off soon. she's completely unhinged between the kid, the people she killed at the prison, and the stuff with the two little girls. I can't imagine she's a fan favorite right now and I don't see how much further they can go with her character

Quite a few people I'd rather see die off than Carol, she's an interesting character and the actress does a great job.

I don't care that she threatened that child, that was great.

eh, I was watching Talking Dead when they were talking about it (Porch Dick), but I don't think they "confirmed" that it actually happened in real life, or that the incident wasn't filtered through Rick's perception. I seem to recall the husband's voice sounding different on the porch, more redneck, than he did when Rick met him at the party. I'm thinking that Rick might have perceived it that way for him to justify to himself that the husband is a threat. Or maybe not, i dunno.

I ask thought it was a dream, so that wasn't clear to me. The only thing that made me question it was how Doctor Dad snapped at his wife when she said she'd grab the drinks.

For the person who asked about Cynthia, she is Tyreese's sister. She is clearly going through some shit.

The Carol stuff is great. She plays both roles so well and is also a little crazy. It's clear that they've become so much of a pack (wolves?) that it's hard for them to connect to others. At least for a handful of the crew. Hell, she had the chocolate and could of said she was there for cookies and not to tell but instead she went dark. Way dark.

I never noticed the W's elsewhere, so that is interesting. Sounds like others are outside the walls lurking for sure, so I can only imagine it's short measure before that blows up. At that point it'd seem like 3 groups having to fight, given how not integrated Rick's crew is.

Also, wtf... When Rick grabbed the gun as his lady friend walked away. I got a sense last week that Rick had turned but that was a new level. Then he yearned for the touch of the walker. Looks like shit is getting real.
