For what it's worth, Central is 18-5 and 9-1 in their conference.

Not saying we should ever lose to Central, but they're a good team.

we ran into an experienced team when we played central...we didn't know WTF we were as a unit at that point...so it was a perfect game to win for them. I don't think we should lose that game even still, but it's not shocking that we did lose. I like where our team is right now...if we can knock off a few big wins down the stretch we have a great chance at the tourney.

but yea that loss isnt a big deal. people freak out too much over random losses. that shit happens. if it didnt happen against nccu it wouldve happened against gt which would hurt just as bad this season. to make up for that you gotta take advantage of the games when other teams shit the bed, like we didnt do against pitt

He's done a decent job with this young group, although you could argue that it's inexcusable to not be a tourney team with a talent like TJ. Still way better than any of Sid's teams and probably better than a couple of Herb's team that did make the tournament. His main problem is teaching how to play defense without fouling. If you make your free throws against us, you win. I do give him credit for finally realizing that defending the 3 is important.

the 2003 and 2005 both needed deep runs in the ACC tourney to make the dance. 2003 (9-7 in conference play) flamed out, 2005 (7-9 in conference play) made the sweet 16.

Good overall game. Not sure why he had vandy at the top of the post for a long stretch in the second half since he can't shoot. Needs to work all practice on how to avoid a trap after the last twenty seconds.

I was down on Gott early in ACC play, but he has easily done his best job in this season.

you guys really underestimate how amazing of a job he did in year 1

1. Takes over a 15-16 team filled with head cases
2. Allows crybaby PG to transfer
3. Converts a SG to PG
4. Talks DeShawn Painter out of transferring and CJ Leslie out of leaving to wherever
5. Picks up Alex Johnson
6. Rearranges non-conference schedule
7. Turns CJ Williams into a fantastic role player, despite doing nothing in 3 years
8. Wins 4 games in a row after being 18-11 (7-7) and on the bubble to make it to the Tournament

Then wins two games in the Tourney and takes Kansas to the last possession

I watched most of this game with the sound off...did we throw out a 3-2 zone for a good portion of the 2nd half?? I feel like it was mildly effective.
