i wish our office had a gym. we have some hook up with a gym down the street where they offer us discounts for going there since it keeps the insurance lower but i prefer to have my gym closer to my house.

whoop in on page 1090

this guy has crucial information that i need to get my part of this project done

im getting heat now, for missing deadlines, that i did not know existed, since this guy is the guardian of all things scope and timing for my function

i've called him every day for the last 28 working days, and emailed him every single day for this same stretch, simply asking for my portion of the deliverables documentation, and the schedule for my bid packets.

i have received not a single word from him, even when including his line management in communications.

if it werent for having seen him in meetings before, i'd be curious as to if he even existed.

now i look really, really bad because of it.

fuck.

why do you look bad, sounds like you've done everything possible to get his cooperation. obviously not the best scenario, but you've got documentation of your attempts at getting info.

yeah i guess i really dont look bad to my management, but rather, i just really really really hate being late on things.

even things out of my control.

but yes, i've been highly documenting this scenario.

I, too, kinda wish my work had a gym... except i dont think i'd enjoy being around my coworkers any more than i already am.

However, I'm fortunate enough to have a Y branch 6 blocks from my house, and that's pretty sweet.

I like working out with coworkers/clients because I feel like it helps me bond with them a bit more--and then they tell me everything.

Most of my coworkers are 50 year old engineers. I have no desire to see them run on a treadmill, so I don't utilize the gym at work.

Actually, about 50% of my clients fit that mold. But somehow I think it helps for us to chat at the gym. Go figure.

It sometimes can. There's one girl who wears crazy, hoochy stuff to the work gym. I don't think the ladies appreciate it as much. But the men probably do.

I'm amazed at some of the hoochy clothes people wear to work. Mini skirts and epic cleavage-showing shirts.

Do you wear volleyball shorts?

I wear yoga pants and tank tops. Not slutty, but not grannyish. Stuff like this...

...minus the cleavage.

I wear skimpier stuff for races because it gets hot. Bra tops and short shorts. But my coworkers don't need to see my tummy.
