Like I said, I'm addicted to it.

But there's problems finding parters.

It's just racing, no battle modes.

Four person games instead of eight.

No trailing shells, boxes, et cetera.

It's still fun as hell. But it feels like there's a whole lot missing.

yeah it's a tad difficult depending on the day/time to get a game going, but once it's going its great.

Plus man honestly, the single player element of the game is quite robust, tons of challenge - the computer AI is awesome.

It's my favorite mario kart i think. Up there with snes.

I definitely agree that the single player is the heat.

I'll probably finish up the mirror 150 today.

Oh, and btw VOICE CHAT in the online games would be 10x better.

So when some kid red shells me right before the finish line but I still coast through for 1st place I can be like KEKEKEKEKEKEKE.

The thing about the single player is that to get a good rank on 150cc (One star or better) it is dependent entirely on luck. I'm pretty sure overall rank on a circuit is dependent on the final time for each race, and that relies HEAVILY on whether or not you get your ass kicked by blue shells/lightning/bullet bills all the time. You can come in first place in all of them but still get knocked all over the place by these things early on in the race, knocking down your overall race time.

^^The last thing I want to hear is some retard yelling into their mic every match. It's bad enough on Xbox Live as it is.

I have yet to play an online match of Mario Kart, but the game rocks.

I picked up Sonic Rush recently and if you miss Sonic's glory days in 2D, you definitely should pick this one up. It's insanely fast with great boss battles and it's much better than any of the shit they put out on the DC/GC/PS2/Xbox.

Is Super Mario 64 DS worth picking up? I know it's a port of the old 64 game - but I never played that and wondered if it was worth playing on the DS.

It's a great game, but I never completely adapted to the controls. You're better off playing the N64 version IMO.

^^If you have never played Super Mario 64 before, I highly recommend you play it (whether it is on 64 or DS). I have a copy for the DS that I am selling right now if you are interested.

http://www.engadget.com/2006/01/26/nintendo_announces_ds_lite/

Quote :
"Nintendo President Satoru Iwata today announced Nintendo DS Lite, a slimmer version of the best-selling Nintendo DS™. Also featuring brighter screens, Nintendo DS Lite will launch in Japan in March. Nintendo DS Lite will be less than two-thirds the size of the original Nintendo DS and more than 20 percent lighter.

Nintendo DS has enjoyed extremely strong sales in Japan and around the world, selling more than 14.4 million units worldwide. The Japanese sell-through of the existing Nintendo DS hardware exceeded 5 million within 13 months, which made Nintendo DS the fastest-selling video game system there.

Nintendo will announce more information about the availability of Nintendo DS Lite in North America and other territories in the future.""

Interesting. Less bulk is always good.

the buttons/d-pad on the light look like they'll be too small and cramped for our american sausage fingers.

^It looks like maybe they just took Zelda and gay-ed it up with touchscreen mini-games. It looks like that game could go either way to me. Could be bad-ass, could be just more ammunition for all the haters to claim all Nintendo games are too childish. As long as it's Zelda first and touchscreen second, I think it will be awesome, but some of that video had me wondering.

i think the core of it still looked zelda-y. just showed off all the things that they did do with the touchscreen. i guess we'll all see soon enough.

The ones who claim that the cell-shaded Zelda games are meant for children are the same ones who think graphics are better than gameplay.
