this may be a dumbass question but does UNCC have a site like TWW? the only reason i ask is because i am moving into my new house this friday which is kinda close to UNCC, and i am gonna be starting a bi-weekly poker game (possibly weekly) and possibly some other fun shit. it seems as if most of you guys live twards uptown and such and wouldn't be interested in driving that far just to play some poker.

hm budget for a 1 br is definitely below 1000..maybe around 800/900?


I'm not really sure what area is what since I've never really been to charlotte..but the job I may be accepting is off of 77 (off of tyvola road)

2 bedroom below 1000...2 floors would be nice like a townhouse

I lived in an uptown apartment for about a year when I first moved here - literally a five min walk from center city - cost about 900/month now for a 1BR (approx 700 sqft).

I didn't really care for it - reminded me of living at UT - too much like a dorm.

I moved about a half mile out of center city just west of 77 and morehead (15 min. walk to BOA stadium) and I really like it and you get 10x's the place for the money. You could probably rent a 2BR townhouse in my neighborhood for about 1200/month, people are always looking for roomates to fill the places, and it's a great area. Check craigslist and search for wesley heights.

You have all the other surrounding neighborhoods (Dilworth, Elizabeth, Noda, etc) but you are going to pay a lot more there -

I worked right near where you are looking - best to live in the uptown area for that - more to do, 5-10 min commute, no traffic, easy access to everywhere on the weekends.

not really, not heading south in the AM and north in the PM. it logjams up at tyvola a bit going northbound, but never anything really bad - plus my hours were 730 to 430, so i was always a little early.

congrats on the upcoming closing I used to live up that way (28262).

I think I'll be making the move from Matthews to Pineville once my stay is up here, still a 15-minute commute (give or take with traffic) from my work (South Park).
