I'm not ready to throw in the towel on this season yet. Besides Wofford, all the teams we've played so far have been pretty good. UCF probably should have beaten a top 10 Texas team (who are overrated though), BC is the best and most experienced team in the ACC, and Clemson is the #15 team and probably the second best team in the Atlantic behind BC. They could even be the second best team in the league. Louisville just lost to a terrible Syracuse team, so who knows, we may be able to come away with a close win. After the Louisville game I think there are 6 winnable games on the schedule. FSU, ECU, UVA, UNC, WFU, and UMD. None of those teams are as good as CU and BC, and most aren't as good as UCF, a team we spotted a 22 point lead and nearly came back to win against. It's pretty crazy how many injuries (especially ones concerning the knee) we've had already this season. 9/22/2007 4:41:24 PM |

Cue the NO guy. He made like 3 throws. One was decent. One was behind our WR who made a good play on it. One was right to a Clemson player. 3 QBs and they all throw INTs.9/22/2007 4:53:02 PM |

We should not burn wilson's redshirt. The season is over already. You aren't going to go far with an OL that can't run block and a defense that can't get pressure on the QB 9/22/2007 5:43:23 PM |

Sorry boss(es)
it is pretty clear that our play at QB is lacking..
I would love to see Wilson (16) getting some reps. I hear he is one heck of a scrambler..
I would have loved to see Russ Dubisky get some snaps a couple seasons ago but it didn't happen. 9/22/2007 5:52:54 PM |

fuck the security/seat placement at Carter Finley
last year we would always get in the game about 5 minutes before kickoff, get our hand stamped with NOR and immediately proceed to 14/15 - my favorite place to watch the game
after having to argue our way into those sections the last two games, we decided to show up a little late so we could get the 14/15 stamps. well, we weren't late enough so we got the NOR stamps again. this time, the security guards at 14/15 were being huge dicks and telling us that "we should have gotten there earlier." when we tried to argue with him that this made no sense, he said "i think i know how this system works" and called over the police who told us to leave. so we wait a while, walk back over to the stamp lady, got our hands RESTAMPED with 14/15, then we were able to enter.
what the fuck is that? why do you think that section never fills up til the second quarter. isn't that supposed to be the 'worst place' to sit, where they send the overflow? just a total pain in the ass to deal with.

Are you serious? ECU and UNC should be "gimmes" (they weren't last year though), but all the other teams will absolutely kick State's ass. FSU I can kinda see because we inexplicably seem to beat them a good bit.

I said winnable, hence we have a decent shot at winning them, unlike the games against BC and CU, which are both very good teams. None of those 6 teams have been all that impressive. UVA lost to Wyoming, but they somehow beat GT today so who knows. UMD hasn't shown much to make me believe they are as good as BC and CU. I didn't say I thought we would win those games, just saying we will probably actually be in all of those games unlike the BC and CU games.

our bowl game was today(the Textile Bowl). And how fucking hard is it to sit in the section assigned? The event staff were probably told to not be as lenient because it's a huge problem with people from other sections trying to get into 14/15. 9/22/2007 6:34:31 PM |

first of all, i would rather sit outside and drink than sit in the north end zone.
second, it is not a huge problem, or even a problem at all. section 14/15 rarely even fills up completely, and it's never overcrowded.9/22/2007 6:52:20 PM |

its so absurd to get mad at people for leaving when the game is over.
The fans showed up for more of the game than the team did.
Some people have lives outside of NC State athletics. We call them the fortunate ones.
Just because NC State football sucks dick doesn't mean other people have to lead meaningless lives.
Furthermore, we still have a chance to be competitive this year. None of the games we've played this year have been winnable except the UCF game which we nearly had a big comeback victory in.
I find it hilarious how everyone defended Chuck and Herb's sorry ass to death but they're ready to can TOB from the get go. Give him a goddam chance he's clearly the best football coach we've had since Lou Holtz. Look at the numbers and blow me. 9/22/2007 7:05:51 PM |

Wow, that's the textbook definition of optimism... or blind optimism. I don't see any more wins for us. Wouldn't be surprised if this was a one win season. ECU and UNC? Yeah, according to the stats, talent, etc., etc., etc. we should beat them all the time but we always find a way to lose. If UNC only has one win coming into the game with us you can almost guarantee a "L."
I'll never give up on the team, but I've become just about as cynical as I can become over the last few years. Oh well, there's always next year, then the year after that, and the decade after that.
We looked terrible today. Terrible. No offense, no defense, our punter has an average of what 30 yards per kick? We're lucky there isn't a fourth aspect of the game to suck at... unless you count turnover margin, in which case we've got that covered as well.
Even though I wouldn't, you can't blame people for leaving early. The team has to give people a reason to stay and 1-10 in your last 11 games isn't a reason. Hell, the AD is lucky that they are still able to get a crowd out to Carter Finley.
Oh well, I guess I'll just have to come around and accept that we are the new Duke of the conference.

By the beginning of the 2nd quarter, you could hardly see the 7/8 stamp on my hand. Which apparently my skin doesn't like their ink anyways because it'd be gone in 30 min in 40degree weather. I walked up to the event staff before I went to get a lemonade, showed them my hand(which was basically a smudge), and the guy said ok. Didn't have any problem getting back in. It's like russian roulette on whether or not the event staff people or security people are going to be asses though.
ha. and duke has something we don't. A win over a same division team and could have easily been 2. Good thing we don't play them this year.
