lol, with mcfadden still to play i have 42 points.... 92 projected....

soooo, do i go ahead and drop brady, or do i hold onto him in hopes he'll heal up for the playoffs or something? I guess if he tore his acl he's done for the season, eh?

if you can...

Yahoo may still have him on the "can't cut list"..

assuming you are talking about a Yahoo league.

may want to wait on the official word.

I wonder if chris simms will be good?

I dominated in both of my fantasy leagues, and I had steve smith on the bench in both. Will probably finish +15 in one and +30 in another.

barring a great performance by the Minnesota Defense and Mason Crosby laying an egg, I should end up 4-0 in my important leagues this week

and Braylon Edwards needs to wake the fuck up

sorry for the double post, but I wanted to point out that Marion Barber has a rib injury, some sort of cartilage damage, but there are no broken bones. The Cowboys think he will be fine for next week, but it might not be a bad idea to go ahead and pick up Felix Jones (especially if you have Barber on your team)

its where you keep one or more players from your current year roster and get to use them the next year... so if you get to keep 2 guys off of this years team for next year then you might want to hold on to Brady, but if you arent in a keeper league, toss him

So I have a QB situation... I picked up Warner for this weekend and he wasn't much against a defense he destroyed last season. I picked up Cassel after the Brady situation and dropped Delhomme. However I thought Delhomme looked pretty damn good and that was without Smith. Cutler is also available. Any thoughts on which two of these I should pick up? Everyone else for the most part is pretty set in their qb situation so I'm hoping nobody picks one of these guys up.

Thanks for the info JB....

I have Cassel, I wonder if Chris Simms will get picked up by NE? I might switch them out, but I guess I should wait and see.

I have a feeling he will be quite rusty.

Palmer. Both of McNabb's top 2 WR's will be out. Palmer will have Chad and Housh, plus he will be throwing a ton to perry and watson out of the backfield.

Start SD. Their 3-4 D is going to give the panthers fits, and when they get up by a 10-14 points, the defense is going to tee off on Delhomme.
"

I dropped Donte Stallworth for Dante Rosario (Dawson) in case Dallas Clark can't go next week; any update's on Dallas Clark's knee?

Any updates on Nate Burleson's leg?

Any updates on Joseph Addai's head?

I'm gonna hang on to Seattle's defense even though they got worked yesterday

they host San Fran next week...that will be a better indication of what their D is capable of

if you have any glaring holes in your lineup and 2 decent qb's, its a good time to offer some trades to Brady owners....its probable that they either waited until the last few rounds to get a backup, or didn't get one at all, so they're hurting right now....time to pounce since a decent qb will have inflated value to that 1 owner in each league.

"Joseph Addai suffered a head injury in Sunday's loss to the Bears early in the fourth quarter, but coach Tony Dungy said he had been cleared to return but was held out, according to the Indianapolis Star.

It was undisclosed as to whether Addai sustained a concussion. We will keep you posted on his status throughout the week."

Quote :
"Marion Barber sustained bruised ribs in Sunday's win over the Browns and Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones said he will have to play with pain for a few weeks, according to the Star-Telegram. Barber said, "I’m good, and could have returned if necessary. It’s all right. Nothing to worry about."

Barber doesn't appear to be in jeopardy of missing any games, but Dallas could get rookie Felix Jones more involved over the next few weeks to lessen Barber's pain and punishment."

Quote :
"Coach Romeo Crennel believes that Donte Stallworth's injury is "probably more of a quad strain" rather than a groin injury, but his playing status remains uncertain, according to the Browns' official website.

He will be evaluated further and see what he can handle on Wednesday. Syndric Steptoe and Steve Sanders were forced to fill in and play a prominent role against Dallas with Stallworth (and Joshua Cribbs) out of action, and the Browns' passing attack was compromised as a result. The Browns have a tough match-up in Week 2 against the Steelers."

so in one of my leagues the guy who has brady has v. young as his backup, and dallas clark as his only tight end.

so i offered palmer and owen daniels for santana moss, cotchery, deangelo williiams (would handcuff me with stewart)

I'm really, really weak at WR.

yay/nay

we cant do trades until tuesday so i've got some time to backout of i want.

in one of my leagues somebody offered me McGahee for Selvin...I already have Addai and Thomas Jones, as well as Deuce, Fred Taylor and Chester Taylor...I'm waiting to see how Selvin looks tonight

[Edited on September 8, 2008 at 10:29 PM. Reason : 70,000]

vgotta run Jackson and Grant...did you see what Detroit's defense let Michael Turner do? I think StL will throw more screen passes to Jackson to get extra touches next week. Also the Panthers held LT to 97 yards, I don't know if Forte will have the type performance he had @ Indy

League I am in, guy loss Brady so I offered

Jake Delhomme
Hines Ward
Mario Manningham

for

Steve Smith (Panthers)
Reggie Busch

Good trade? I have cotchery and moss as other receivers with D. Williams and W. Parker as RB.

As side notes, I have P. Rivers as my starter, Jake was my back up. I picked up Trent Edwards off Waivers. Just snagged up E. Royal (WR) and dropped A. Bryant (WR).

i'm glad i paid attention tonight and snagged royal to replace burleson. he looks unstoppable, especially if you consider the defense has to key on marshall.

So, looks like

Eddie Royal
Courtney Taylor
Cassel

are hot picks. Any more? Anyone have thoughts about sproles/hester? LT looks weak, so maybe that will snowball into injury.

Another question: who you you drop first -- hester or ginn? Our league gives 1 point for 25 ret yards (no fractional). I want to get a guy like Royal

So what does every one think of Eddie Royal as a sleeper this year? he beat out a ton of veteran wideouts to take the number two spot along side Brandon Marshall in Denver.
He is smallish, (about Steve Smith's size), but is a serious burner.
If this is Jay Cutler's coming out party year, maybe this kid can reap some of the benefits...

9/3/2008 12:41:36 PM"

Drafted him in the seventh round.

Question is when Marshall is back is Royal still going to be this productive?

Remember this is the Raiders, even though their pass D is decent.

how can he not be? it will make his life easier and even if he gets half the looks with marshall back, with the weaker defensive player on him it will probably even out. i'm starting him over roy williams next week...

Ahaha that was nice. I was tied in that league. Now I am going to go 3-0.

I'm up by 8 and he has McFadden who is done for the game.

My question is, are they not going to use Selvin more than this?

Here was my lineup for Week 1:

Roethlisberger
LT
Selvin Young
Andre Johnson
DeSean Jackson
Lee Evans
Jason Witten
Stephen Gostkowski
Steelers D

Bench:
Jon Kitna
Michael Turner
Eddie Royal
Tony Scheffler
Robert Meachem (potential later)

Even with Turner, Kitna, and Royal, I have 99 points (hopefully Young isn't finished after getting a TD). However, if I had Kitna, Turner and Royal in (or if I didn't take Tree's advice, haha), I'd have 136 points. But, I'm up by 32 anyway, and have the 3rd highest score in my league with what I had.
