Doesnt matter, very few voters read the fucking drudge report lol.
this matters. it did in the first debates.
Among uncommitted voters who watched the debate:
CBS poll: Biden 46%, Palin 21%, tie 33%.
CNN poll: Biden 51%, Palin 36%.
Case closed. Less than 5% are undecided, so you read between the lines. 10/3/2008 12:19:40 AM |

She improved but she lacks substance and red meat conservative mettle. The cutsey act is wrong for such serious times. Biden is an oil slick of liberal talking points and we need a serious, principled conservative to answer his ilk in Congress, not another aspiring member of the big tent. Shape up, McCain/Palin. We're in ground zero. 10/3/2008 12:28:34 AM |

I'm wondering if everyone say the same debate because while saying Palin won might be too much...the very least that happened for her was "tie" with Biden...I honestly don't see how anyone could say Biden dominated. 10/3/2008 12:30:43 AM |

Of course you'd say that. Palin didn't answer anything -- she spun off into some barely relevant, preprogrammed speech at practically every question. If she was pushed to answer a single thing she would have folded. 10/3/2008 12:33:35 AM |

I'd say that Biden dominated simply because of the complete lack of substance (or, for that matter, coherent formation of sentences) that was coming from Palin.
He answered most of the questions that were asked and made points. I'm not saying I liked or agreed with many of his answers/points, but he actually gave them.
I saw Palin actually answer two or three questions, if even that much... maybe I'm just bad at translating the word soup that comes out of her mouth, but when you can barely even form complete sentences, you are not debating well. She would speak, and I would think about what she said, and I would be left wondering what she even meant or if her words even had a meaning.
I would say that Biden dominated simply because .01 is infinitely superior to 0.10/3/2008 12:37:15 AM |

i think biden was off on the whole "in 3 weeks, we spend as much in iraq as we have in 6.5 years in afghanistan"...maybe he meant 3 months or something but if its like 10billion a month in iraq, than 3 weeks is like around 7.5 billion, and i'm guessing we've spent more than that much in 6.5 YEARS in afghanistan... 10/3/2008 12:40:47 AM |

Well, Rove was right (and me too) when he said considering peoples' expectation of Palin, she DID win.
She was predictably vapid in her responses, similarly to Biden, but she wasn't the bumbling fool she has been portrayed as. I do think Obama's poll numbers are going to slow in their rise, if not drop a little (I don't think McCain will regain the lead though), because it's going to take a bit for the Palin doubters to backpedal on their portrayal of her, which they'll have to do.
I think most undecided people will come away having a more positive perception of Palin, which helps McCAin.
BTW, Rove is a complete douchebag, and is extremely corrupt, but he always seems to have a huge wealth of political knowledge, and knows how to work the media.

It was great to see how McCain's camp, through Palin's inaction, is owning the Spain mistake as intentional. Rather than admit that McCain doesn't know the leader of Spain's name, he'd rather pretend and stick to the idea that he won't meet with this NATO ally. 10/3/2008 12:57:29 AM |

NO one is rallying around Karl Rove, just pointing out where Biden lied during the debate, as Rove points out. However, its clear by this trantrum that you arent remotely concerned with the truth or interested in being the least bit objective .So continue with your insults and acting like a child. Sup, Perky Katie Couric and her network are incredibly biased. Could be a reason why her ratings are so bad.
Hammering Obama on taxes warmed my heart. She should've pointed out that he voted for the 2009 democratic tax package that would've raised taxes on individuals earning as little as $31,850 a year and $63,000 for married couples. She could have explained (as long as Biden wanted to dredge up the past) how a past democrat nominee promised middle class tax cuts only to shove through a huge tax increase on everyone once he and a democratic majority got into office.10/3/2008 1:03:17 AM |
