Ha, if we ended up in one of the NFLN games, I guess that means Im having my friends over to watch the game

But that would suck...in regards to national exposure and visibility to recruits, we might as well not even be in a bowl.

Looks like we wont be playing Ball State in the Motor City Bowl anyhow .

Too bad Ballztaint got embarrassed in this game. Buffalo now gets a spot in the fuckin canada bowl. Congrats to the coach who was on the Buffalo team that declined a bowl bid in '58 because of racist mofos in florida.

Independence Bowl: good payout, but it's against Louisiana Tech and who cares about them

Hawaii: Would be nice to watch on Christmas Eve, and Hawaii is a fun team, right?

PapaJohns.com: what kind of name is that? Also, it's in a terrible city in a terrible stadium in a terrible part of town. Would be against Rutgers more than likely which is ok.

Motor City: Ball State is a good team, the bowl at least has a nice name. Could do some urban exploration in all the bombed out buildings in Detroit.

Texas: Against Rice, in Houston, in a nice stadium. Would be good if not for the NFL Network.

I'd prefer Hawaii personally because it would probably be the most entertaining game and I would definately be able to watch (not travelling regardless). Texas would be good if not for the NFLN. The others I could care less about since they seem like horrible prizes for a good end to the season.

are you kidding me? my company has its HQ in Birmingham so some of us go there yearly. The whole place shuts down at 8pm. It's generic. There's no real great culture there. What are the great attractions? The Vulcan Statue? At least hope for the Independence Bowl over that one so you can gamble.

Sounds a lot like Cary to me.

The point still remains it's still WORLDS better than Detroit.

WRAL thinks we're going to Birmingham now
http://blogs.newsobserver.com/accnow/bowl-update-with-projected-lineup

Quote :
"The official bowl lineup will be revealed Sunday night but expect the following:

UNC vs. West Virginia in Charlotte and N.C. State vs. Rutgers in Birmingham, Ala.

With Troy's win over Arkansas State on Saturday, the Wolfpack will land an at-large bid in the Papajohns.com Bowl on Dec. 29 in Birmingham.

UNC will stay in-state with an ACC tie-in in the Meineke Car Care Bowl on Dec. 27.

Pittsburgh's 34-10 win over UConn on Saturday cleared up UNC and State's bowl opponents earlier Saturday, both will be from the Big East.

The Panthers accepted the Sun Bowl bid, leaving the Meineke Car Care Bowl with West Virginia. UConn and Rutgers already played — and lost to — UNC during the regular season and the Charlotte committee would prefer to avoid a rematch with the Tar Heels. "

I guess playing Rutgers is better than playing a non-BCS conference team. UNC beat Rutgers before they got hot so if we lose to them, then UNC will automatically be better than us using UNC faggot logic.

Fail at sarcasm. He was talking about Arizona State University losing which means they only have 5 wins so won't get a bowl bid, which helps us.

anyone making the drive or flying?

I live in Mobile, which is relatively close to the Independence, Texas and of course Papa John's Bowl.

Birmingham is not a bad town. Went there this summer for a wedding and it was a good time. I would equate it to a Cary with history. Many areas in downtown are gorgeous.
