In my experiences NASCAR fans are a fun loving, welcoming bunch that suffers from a lot of stereotyping. Now I say that having only been to races in NC and VA (I refuse to go to any of the southern tracks for obvious reasons).


In the 10 or so races I've been to, I've seen maybe 3 confederate flags, and they were all on private vehicles outside the track.



This was taken at a race in Alabama in 2010....
