i saw a page a couple of days ago linked from their twitter about a lottery and that was all i'd seen about tickets anywhere. I had some wires crossed and assumed this was a cat's cradle show that would for some reason be more flocked to than usual and require some weird ticket practices/scalper combating due to their newfound fame. i've never really heard of a lottery to get a coveted and incredible "$5 off!! Oh my god!!" Why are you being such a hostile shit?

i was at the front, and with like 4 or 5 or 6 songs to go this unstoppable force came and barged in front of/beside me, shouting "20 seconds! Just 20 seconds!" I was not moving but her arm against mine was causing serious pain, and I eventually stepped behind my gf to the left of me.

she was pretty much smothering everyone around her against the railing and against other people with her body for the rest of the show. this poor girl to the right of me had been so engaged and ecstatic the whole time but retreated after begging for ten minutes for this fuck to stop pounding her. She looked so sad and dejected. Seemed like this lady desperately wanted to show off her shrieking of lyrics and wild gesticulating-with-no-regard-for-those-around-her for sam. 4 or 5 or 6 songs later she had caused at least 4 people to leave the front.

pretty wonderful otherwise.

They definitely pulled at least half a dozen folks out of the crowd due to heat exhaustion/crushing/etc. Everyone seemed fine once they got them sat down and hydrated, but it was still a bummer.

I had fun at the show, but I was suffering from heat exhaustion pretty early on. During Valient Thorr I tried standing in the cool-off tent for a good while, but started feeling nauseous as soon as I left the cool mist. Ended up having to go home and lay down for awhile before heading back out in time for Dan Deacon/Future Islands.

Guess I'm getting old... I don't know how the hell the Valient Thorr singer could stand it out there, haha.
