when you have nightmares, are they basically nothing compared to the terrors?

like i had one last night but as soon as i woke up i was like ughhhh, and went back to sleep.


and the nightmare-i was strapped to a bed about to be turned into a giant doll

Yeah, absolutely no comparison. I had a nightmare the other night but woke up and was like, meh. I had a night terror the night before that where I opened my eyes and it looked like some massive beast thing (I honestly can't remember what it was) was over me snarling and its fangs were like inches from my face... that description and just feeling like I was laying there frozen while my heart was beating super duper fast and my body shaking is all I remember.. I'm not sure if I got up on that one
