i was just looking at the traffic numbers, and while there hasn't been a huge surge in new user registrations, there has been a significant surge in number of new people visiting the site. over double what we normally get. so they're here, they're just lurking and not registering yet. this is entirely consistent with how most people interact with tww as new visitors. it also means the new user registration experience needs to be changed, and that's on the way too
