you just don't know. I mean, all teams have injuries and for us it was only 1 person at the time. I would argue it was more critical that harrow has been out, but that's just my take.

^Exactly. Virginia Tech lost 4 for the season. Two starters in JT Thompson and Dorenzo Hudson. Don't see them crying about it.

Do you seriously not think that Tracy being out has had an effect on our season? First, we haven't beaten anyone worth a shit all year and its starting to become a confidence issue IMO. Lets say we sneak out a win with Tracy at SU or GT...we probably play a fuckton better at home against AZ...we had no freaking answer inside, and a healthy tracy smith would have probably gotten our FG% above 0 or whatever it was that game. We shoot like shit and still didn't get run out of the gym.


So lets say he plays like he did last year...not too much of a stretch if he's not hurt (he's still not the same and he's getting worse every game with his knee). We win one of the GT or 'Cuse games plus AZ, thats 2 wins against quality competition and some confidence going into ACC play. Nobody is calling for the coaches head sitting at 12-2, and we are probably gonna play with a lot more confidence and a true go to guy who can break the droughts in a HEALTHY Tracy smith.

Maybe I'm retarded, but thats had an effect. We've had a chance to win most games with Tracy playing like dog shit and the rest of the team playing with no confidence that they can do it. Tracy is significantly worse on both ends of the floor than he was a year ago, and its killing us. Its not too much of a stretch.

That said, we're heading for a coaching change and I'm fine with that. I still want people to quit being dumbasses about it and actually pay attention to whats going on. Us sucking and not living up to expectations isn't black and white...all on the coach, all on Tracy/CJ/etc... so people need to quit acting like it is. I just want to finish the season and not make a mockery of the situation when we let Lowe go.

How fucking stupid are you? Did you not read the caveat that I'm assuming he would have played as well as last year IF HE HAD NO INJURY EVER????...not 10 fucking times worse on both ends of the floor due to the weight gain, lack of practice, and most importantly, conditioning. Then the confidence boost that goes along with knowing we can get it done for the young guys. Its not a fucking stretch.


I don't even know why I waste my time. I'm going to believe that most people are in the same boat as me, who agree we need a coaching change but are willing to let it play out and keep their god damn mouth shut.

I don't even know what the fuck this means. I've said repeatedly that I'm upset with the product on the floor, and said it for 5 seasons now. I never once said that Lowe didn't deserve to be replaced after this season if it got to this point. I've "blindly" (whatever the fuck that means) said that I'm going to reserve judgement until this season when we started with more to work with than we've had in since Sendek's last season (and don't give me this Costner Fells McCauley bullshit, we still didn't have depth even if I admit they weren't the problem).

It never changes or improves. We just have to play the same damn cards each time and hope we get a good flop or whatever it's called. And sometimes we do, and we beat the house, and we get that gambler's high and whatnot. But next game, it's the same cards...and we have no choice but to play them again.

It's just blind gambling.

The people not showing up this year arrived at the conclusion that he can't coach long before you did. They apparently saw sooner what you didn't.
