Perkins is useless period.

I think Westbrook alone will make a huge difference (LA might have the weakest point guard position in the whole league, forget the playoffs). And Brewer isn't going to jump from 3 min a game to 20 min just because they want someone who can guard Westbrook. You'll see more of Stevenson before you'll see more of Brewer.

As obvious as it is...defending Dirk will still be the key. LA was horrible. Putting Gasol on him was retarded. Odom or Barnes should have been on him at all times. I think a Durant/Ibaka combo will do a lot better than LA did.

Either way...should be a much more competitive series...if the Thunder even get there.

again with this dwight howard lakers buzz, I don't know where people are getting this, it's like some random idiot says something and everybody else picks up on it, it would make much more sense for LA to go for someone like chris paul as was already mentioned in this thread or just try to upgrade at artest and fisher's positions

Howard makes any team better, no matter the parts around him. He's the perfect fit for any franchise.

Do you really need a top flight point guard when Kobe is going to be handling the ball himself on every crucial possession?

you do need to upgrade at PG still though...somebody bigger and quicker than Fisher who can slow down a top flight PG like Paul instead of let him run wild for a couple triple doubles

The problem I see with Lakers getting either Dwight or Paul, is why would they want to go there? If I was Orlando or New Orleans I would only consider the sign and trade if Bynum was the centerpiece. In that case, by the time the new Lakers had a full season (2012-2013), almost everyone currently on the Lakers will be old.

Jeff Teague looks so much like Harrow, if Harrow were 20 lbs heavier.

And Boozer is such a dick.

Nah, Joe Johnson and Jamal Crawford just jacked up too many 3's. Their big guys were knocking down the 15 footers. They should have kept going back to that

I thought they were starting to take some goofy footed 15 footers near the end of the 3rd quarter. Shooting 1-12 from the 3 pt line probably didn't help either.

So its looking like there might be some substance to those rumors about pau gasols gf dumping him before the playoffs. Makes sense bc he had a great the season but a disastrous and seemingly uninterested postseason.
I don't know if its just speculation that kobes wife encouraged her to do it though

wade won the series by breaking rondo's arm, the heat still prob would have won anyway but the celtics didn't have a chance after that

miami is acting a little overjubilent here, dallas just swept the world champions and they didn't celebrate at all

and thats the worst loss ive ever taken. +7.5 and up by 7 with 6 minutes left and you get absolutely annihilated by bad calls, bad shots, and bad turnovers.

That was unreal.

Paul Pierce just melted $400 for me. Never seen a guy single handedly destroy a 14.5 pt lead in 5 minutes like that.

I just went nuts out on Memphis to compensate for that unprecedented meltdown.

disgusting night haha. wipes out about half of my playoff winnings.

That Celtics loss was really one for the books. The entire team (Pierce in particular) just melts down while Lebron cements himself as literally the best player of all-time.

It was just ridiculous, really. I've never seen any player just decide to win a close-out game like that. I hate that Lebron didn't try to win a "clean" championship with a well rounded team that supplemented his talent. But I think we can all respect him carrying a talented yet flawed team like this and making the competition look super weaksauce.
