30 years ago drivers would fist fight in the motor home lot and the media would look the other way. That's a lot better way to settle scores than tearing up hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of equipment IMO 11/12/2012 5:38:01 AM |

Quote : | "The NASCAR Truck Series will race next season on the half-mile dirt track at Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, Ohio, multiple sources confirmed. An official announcement of the move could come as early as Wednesday. The race would be the first on dirt for any of NASCAR's three national series Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Trucks - in its "modern era." The track, owned by Cup driver #14-Tony Stewart, does not have energy-absorbing SAFER barriers installed and no permanent medical facility on property. Sources said NASCAR is expected to waive its policy adapted beginning in 2005 that SAFER barriers be installed at all oval tracks hosting its three national series. Why NASCAR is willing to make an exception in this case is unclear.(Charlotte Observer)(11-13-2012)" |

But until someone else has the most wins for an active driver, most wins in the modern era, and third all time behind David Pearson and Richard Petty, everyone else can shut it. Oh and also he owns half of Jimmie's car, so he is already racking up owner wins." |
Not really a Gordon fan, but I was perfectly fine with your post til you started bringing up his "ownership" of Jimmie's car. Gordon's as much a car owner as Papa Joe Hendrick was when he was alive, it's a Rick Hendrick car ran out of a Rick Hendrick shop with Rick Hendrick employees.11/18/2012 11:31:56 PM |

This has a wolfpack connection. Brad Keselowski's team engineer got his Mechanical Engineering degree at NC State

^^ Yes you are true, but regardless, Gordon is a part owner in Johnson's car. Just like its Roush Fenway Racing. It is still the exact same thing as Rouch Racing used to be, but that extra name is in there because not just Jack Roush gets the money anymore. Not just Rick Hendrick gets the money when Johnson wins. I know that Gordon isn't actually getting wins as an owner, they are all going to Rick; as they should. But still he has a stake in Johnson's car and the better Johnson does, the better it is for Gordon. 11/18/2012 11:50:13 PM |

have you ever watched any dirt racing?
the trucks aren't any bigger than a dirt late model. they're only gonna start 30 at eldora.
they don't race in the rain, just like on asphalt. if it only rains a little, they can run the track back in. if it rains a lot, they'll put the race off a day. oh well, that's dirt racing.
i think it'll be cool. 11/29/2012 10:00:42 PM |
