Wow, Blake Bortles and Ryan Mallet, that's a fucking gift right there, and 2 games against Jameis Winston. Panthers might only have to play 11 or 12 games against actual NFL caliber QBs this season.

I agree we don't have a true NFL level "WR1", but that shit only matters in fantasy football. Seattle and NE don't have game-changing WRs.

^to be fair, NE and SEA have Gronk and Jimmy Graham. Who are just as good or better than a lot of WR1s. We have Olsen, who is a great...maybe the 3rd best TE in the league behind Graham and Gronk. But he's still not a "game changer" in the way those guys are

Someone needs to step up and make plays, that's all there is to it. Last game it was JCo with the TD and conversion on 3rd and long. Maybe this week it'll be Brown or Funchess. It'll be nice if someone starts averaging 100+ yard a game, but this offense doesn't really call for that. I'd rather we average 150+ rushing yards a game than any single receiver dominating the ball.

Yeah cause shula is too dumb to lineup a tight end on the left or have a back stay in to chip if Watt is on the right end. But we get it, Oher isn't Jonathan Ogden or Walter Jones, or even Jordan Gross. And besides, right tackle has become almost as important as left tackle nowadays. Or should we just forget about Clowney or Wilfork and focus our entire gameplan on one guy?

It's really the middle of our offensive line that has to play well and give Cam room to step up in the pocket. Pressure is gonna come from the edges regardless, but it's up to Cam recognize it, step up and either find an open receiver or tuck it and run. If Kalil, Turner and Norwell get pushed around as well, then we're in real trouble.

Overall, we have the more talented/deeper roster but this isn't Tampa Bay or Cleveland. Our biggest advantage is at QB so Cam really needs to earn his money in this one by outplaying Mallet. If he does that, we'll be alright.
