They're coverage of Wood and Harrow in particular has been spectacular.

I honestly don't understand how anyone who regularly checks that website would come away with a remotely negative opinion, which is based on an exceptionally flimsy rationale centered around "two pieces of over the top Grade A bullshit." For fuck sake how judgmental do you have to be? They got a tip from an assistant coach about Cousins that turned out badly when Cousins made an unexpected unofficial visit to Memphis. Then they posted inaccurate material due to misreading an admittedly poorly worded sentence by people who do this sort of thing for a living instead just doing it in their damn spare time.

Without that site, would any of us know how good Harrow is? Would we know he and Lorenzo Brown are "God-brothers?" How about their updates on former players? Anyone else find Brian Keeters recovery blog b/c WPH posted the link? Shoot I've read comments left on their posts from Scott Wood's MOTHER saing how much she appreciates the site, its positive take on NC State basketball, and how she and other family/friends follow it regularly.

Every time get fed up with al the bitching moaning here and virtually every other NC State msg board I go to WPH. It's a relief to know that IS possible for people to cover the Wolfpack without being depressed bitter jackasses. And I don't give a damn what you say - they are NOT homers posting overly optimistic bullshit. You could only come to that conclusion by cherry picking a select few mistakes, misquotes, and rumors later proven fase (despite the fact they have come from a legit source) in an attempt to make all of us as fucking miserable as you are.

And no that isn't solely diected at OhBoyee either...

FWIW there's no reason that the football team shouldn't compete for an ACC Championship this year. You got the returning All-ACC QB with a quality backup, one of the best front 7's on D in the ACC (if it stays healthy), quality depth at RB, and expected improvement on O-line and secondary - the two achilles heels for the Pack last year

Just for fun, we've got 5 commits for '09. According to ESPN (i know, i know), their grades range from 84-95, with a mean and median of 89. Last year we picked up 2, range of 82-89 (julius & cj. both will be solid players, imo).

I think for the '09-'10 season Lowe's squad will be one of his fastest, most athletic teams since he's been here.

Since everyone on the roster will be a guy whom he recruited, im definitely rooting for him to be very successful.


..now if we can secure John Wall, or one of the players leaving Memphis after Calipari's deflection then folks we 'could' have a glimmer of hope for '09-10.

admittedly I just lurk around ST and post every now and then, but I truly agree with this sentiment. Regardless of how OhBoyeee felt about our program, it was painful to come into a thread and see some negative comment lacking anything constructive about our sports program.
