I never thought I'd "grow out" of video games....but the older I get, the less time I have for them. They also don't hold my attention as well. I'll get a game, play it a lot for a month or 2, then it sits on the shelf and hardly ever gets played again.
I'm surprised I've stuck with LA Noire as long as I have.

Resistance 1 FoM was perhaps my favorite PS3 game, R2 let me down although campaign was cool.

if you enjoy a bit of platforming and stealth mixed in with a load of button mashing fighting and some puzzles here and there then yes. It's visually awesome and can be purchased for $20 if not less. The sequel is coming out in October

I really enjoyed Resistance 2. I didn't play R1 much though so I can't really compare. I thought the MP was awesome. The match had up to 128 players at one time. Shit was bananas.

If I was still playing a lot, I would def get R3 but there is just too much shit going on and I never get time to play.

My PS3 got the YLOD (yellow light of death) last night. Basically it just shut off and when I went to turn it back on it lit up green then yellow then red. $120 for repairs and I can kiss my save data goodbye. Well I went through 3 PS2s. This is the first time I've had a problem with the PS3. I guess I should not have kept it 82 in my house when I went away on vacation.

^^ I played both. If you haven't played either then you should def get it. I might buy it myself because I played Shadow of the Colossus way after it came out and the graphics looked old as dirt. I hate when that happens. The overall impact of the game is diminished.

Just saw the other day that you can get Sunday Ticket through PS Network

So i have been debating on whether or not it's worth it to trade in my big box ps3 and get a new slim model. Has anyone done this?

I'm not for lack of memory as I upgraded to a 500GB, but I'm just wondering what advantages the new slims have? and there is also a Uncharted/320GB bundle being released soon.

There was supposed to be a FFVI release in the PSN store. Supposedly it has released in Japan, but not yet NA which saddens me.

I bet they are trying to butter up older square fans to buy FFXIII-2, since FFXIII failed so horribly.

I'm thinking about it too as soon as I can find a job. Supposedly the fan is much quieter, but the disk drive is slightly noisier.

You can always change the hard drive, can't change the fan.

Actually, that's an assumption. Can you easily change out the hard drive on the slim?

Battlefield's largest dedicated following is on the PC so you have to expect that in that thread. Yes they are elitist and you'll never win their argument over point and click vs. controller. My recommendations are to either create a Battlefield 3 Console Version thread or post in here regarding it.

For one, I want to get BF3 but unless it receives uncanny ratings and response I will probably hold off for awhile.
