I was in an interesting live game this evening and I wanted all of your opinions on what should have happened......

I had just lost a big hand with pocket kings to ace-jack off and was condering rebuying when this hand came along.

I had 79 dollars. Game: 1/3 no limit. Game was loose.....I was the only that made raises that no one called.

So I am under the gun and I look down to 9s, 9d and I call.
Guy next to me raises to 10 and button calls, and big blind calls.........

I go all in......

The guy that had raised preflop has 6s shows most the table tells everyone that is what he has and that he feels like gambling with me. He does this with 2 people left to act. The button exclaims he has a six and cannot play because he is behind. Well the big blind said to me when I limp raised all in: i bet you have huge hand. He decides to go put mr. pp 6s all in and says well I will race you for the side pot with the information he has 6s and that there is a 6 dead folded if he hits one of his cards......

So what should happen here?

I mean we all know it is poor etiquette to say your hand while there is action, but what should be done?

this at the donkey barn?

i throw a huge shit fit. and declare all of their hands dead.

if howard doesnt agree, then i cash out right htne and inform him that everyone you know will be made aware that he allows balatant collusion in his game.

(btw, limp RR allin with 99? heehaw)

ok its not something I would typically do......

but when I read weakness......I feel like it is the correct move. For the most part, everyone was laying down there hands to me because I kept showing really nut hands......I think if the pocket 6s hand not said his hand out loud he would have been the only caller. I was mad and the dealer didnt give bull.....and I had straight up told Eddie we were both leaving at the end of the hand......I got a half ass apology.

It was at the Garner game....aka "the spot" for you poeple that may or may not know of this.

Juanda, Ivey, and Matusow are playing $100/200 PLO and Ivey is sititng playing $100/200nl

Very interesting to watch.

Ivey and Matusow were playing the $100/200 PLO the other day heads up, and Ivey took about $30k off him in 10min.

Try declaring some guys hand as dead with an all in $100+ pot and see how that turns out. In fact, just take his hand out from under him and muck it yourself and see what he does.

So what happened was they weren't mucked after the hand I got up and left pissed. Eddie cashed out and didn't tip the dealer (he was up a few hundred) and the dealer got mad and everyone told the dealer he did nothing wrong.

Eddie talked to the dude about it and he was like whatever, I have played with the best and I am don't care what you say. I later talked to people that go to the game, and most everyone said they didn't care if poeple said there hands which I agree with Ben when he said it was collusion........

They made me feel like and idiot for caring a little bit.

Thanks for the thoughts

The most badass part is Ivey usually sits at that table with $50k or less. So he is up almost $100k

He is also playing $1000/2000 Omaha h/l

Sure, it might piss the guy off, but if you want to run a card room, you can't let people collude. Plain and simple. If I'm running the joint, I don't care how much he is in for, he's mucked. Every fucking tool on the planet knows that's not allowed.

I'd never step into that cardroom again if the management didn't stop that shit.

This is some insane shit. David Benyamine won $20mil in one week playing in the big game in Vegas. Here is a link to it from Tony G's blog.

http://www.tonygpoker.com/2006/07/wsop-5000-no-limit-event.html

Quote :
"We’re playing the $5,000 No Limit today, and 620 players showed up. What a table I have. Phil Hellmuth is on my left, and David Benyamine is on my table as well. David is the biggest winner at the cash games thus far during the WSOP. David is a brilliant player who I used to play cash games with in France. I used to play with him in the 400/800, and obviously he has moved up and is one of the bigger players in the world today. He is ripping up the ‘big game’ to the tune of $20 million up for the week. This is the biggest swing I have ever heard of in the $4,000/8,000 game.

I’ve got a nice table. There are a few weaker players there, but definitely a few good ones as well. Sam Grizzle is on the table also, but he is a short stack. It’s going to be fun playing with Hellmuth. We’re kind of buddies, but at the table we fight – its all about taking the chips.

After the first round, I have about the same as my starting stack. I really haven’t has any opportunities. I played two queens, I flat called before the flop, and on a flop of 2 4 7, I laid the queens down, and the guy shows me deuce seven for 2 pair. I must be playing pretty well to lay down two queens on that board. I only lost 175 on the hand.

Playing pretty careful right now, we’ll see what happens. I’ll update again later.
"

That guy also took over $100k off Matusow earlier today in under 30min at the $1000/2000 Omaha h/l and he is handing Ivey and Chip Reese their asses right now.

4 night poker tourney starting this Sunday. We have room for 3-4 additional players. If you want to play let me know. I did not create the format. See format below:

No-Limit Hold’em Tournament Playoff

Playoff consists of 4 straight nights of tournament play. A new tournament will begin each night with the same players. Each nightly tournament will pay off the top three spots and points will be awarded to everyone depending on your finishing spot. At the end of the four nights, the player with the highest point total will receive the grand prize money. Everything should be clear as you read the breakdown. I would like a minimum of 7 people and a max of 9. The money breakdown is based on 7 total players.

Playoff will take place August 20th-23rd. FYI, NC State begins classes Wednesday August 23rd.

Each player will be required to bring $75 cash as a buy-in on the first night.

Winning Money: Money will be awarded for the top three spots of each tournament and the overall point winner.

First Place - $60 x 4 nights = $240
Second Place - $30 x 4 nights = $120
Third Place - $15 x 4 nights = $60

Grand Prize - $100 x 1 night = $100
__________________
Total $520

$5 of the total pot will go towards buying playing cards

Breakdown of each player’s money:
• $0.71 – Towards Playing cards.
• $14.29 – Towards Grand Prize.
• $60.00 – Towards all four tournaments.
_______________________________________________
Total = $75

Each player will receive $2500 worth of chips before each tournament.

$25 chip x 20 = $500
$50 chip x 20 = $1000
$100 chip x 10 = $1000
_______________________________________________
Total = $2500

Each player will receive a point(s) depending on the place they finish in each tournament.

Place Points

1st 5
2nd 4
3rd 3
4th 2
5th 2
6th 1
7th 1

Each tournament will be governed by the following rounds and blinds. Each round will last 30 minutes.

Round Blinds

1 $25 - $50 - 30th minute
2 $50 - $100 - 60th minute
3 $100 - $200 - 1 hour 30 minutes
4 $150 - $300 - 2 hours
5 $200 - $400 - 2 hours 30 minutes
6 $300 - $600 - 3 hours
7 $400 - $800 - 3 hours 30 minutes
8 $500 - $1000 - 4 hours

***Of course the minimum bet during each round is equal to the big blind.

ALL RULES FOR EVERY TOURNAMENT WILL BE PLAYED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ROBERT’S RULES OF POKER.

m

Format looks great. Should be fun, but not a good deal if you are looking to make some $$$ and what's the deal with the min-max being 7-9?

Do you know this guy personally? Get him to start hosting single night 10 person tournaments and I'd be all over that.

I dont know why I spent like 2 hours watching this the other night, but its kinda fun to watch. Basically a guy has screenshot video of him playing on Party at a $3/$6 NL table complete with his audio comentary while he is playing. There are hours and hours of video.
And yes, I was VERY bored that night.

he reminds me of a player that hit it huge in a bit tournament score, but has no idea how to play cash games for shit and is bleeding his winnings away playing way over his head.

i mean, who reraises the fuck out of every middling pair preflop and is happy when you push people out of hands when you have a monster (like the set of tens)?

the best play he made was laying down AdQc on a AcXdXd, Xd board to a pot sized bet.

Here is some free money on Party Poker. Its kinda like Instant Bankroll, but easier. And no, I do not make anything off this. I've had about 5 accounts with Instant Bankroll, and plan on doing this one too a few times, just sign up from a different IP and make up the other shit. However, if you plan on cashing out a big amount, I would suggest dumping the money to somoeone you know with a legit account and then cashing it out. Anyway, I did this around 5pm yesterday, and I alraedy have my money, and they didnt even call me, and for some reason, they sent me $60 and I have a $25 bonus after 500 raked hands.
