but yeah, i use the tripledge ones you can get just about anywhere (got mine from wally world at about $10/each)...they squeaked at first (though never skipped) and then after the first rain they've been quiet and awesome

i also use rainx when i remember to put it on and there's the whole "rainx destroys rubber" thing

i never used fabric softener before just b/c my parents never did and it didn't seem necessary when doing laundry to me. we got a laundry kit at one of our showers and now i LURVE it. especially for towels and sheets but i used just a tad with washing regular clothes and it just smells so much more fresh

hahaha i never used fabric softener, mainly cuz it's a pain in the ass to do on the old washing machines, waiting for a certain cycle to pour it in. now with the front loading washers, there's a little compartment for it, and we use it with every load now - and it's heaven.

and omg, it's amazing how great the sheets feel and smell once they're done washing and back on the bed. makes me wanna snuggle up under the covers and just breathe deeply!
