I'm going to be a non-traditional bride. Actually I'd like to elope. Maybe a themed wedding in Vegas?

Regardless, no white shoes.

I went to Alter Ego on Dec 5th and Julia did my hair - she did a super great job and is very meticulous... Cut, Conditioning Treatment and dye. Holla!

^^^ i feel the same way! when i get married, i will probably end up doing a fun colored sandal but more than likely a metallic stilleto sandal (i only wear 4 inches). i dont know why but i HATE traditional bridal shoes. they remind me of prom shoes from the early 90s.

linda, one of my friends asked me if i would do a britney themed wedding and have each of my bridesmaids dress as a different era of britney (slave britney, school girl britney, oops britney, etc) and then have my groomsmen be different boyfriends/husbands she's had. i lols.

I ended up getting my hair cut at generations while I was there for other stuff.

It's gone waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay downhill, and I can no longer recommend it in good conscience to anyone, and I won't be going back.

It's not bad, per se, but it's no longer at all worth the pricing. I think there must have been a change in management or ownership. Maintenance has fallen off, and so has keeping things up, deep cleaning/cleaning as they go is subpar (it's not dirty, but it's not sparkling clean). They've quit reinvesting in the place. Bleach stains on stuff; frayed/worn furnishings/upholstery. What used to be the waiting area is now basically a store with crappy kitsch merchandise. They've got a "spin the wheel and get a prize!" wheel at the register And it's weighted. :doubleroll: The prizes are along the lines of 'get X free when you buy service that costs 4x' and 'get $RI off service if you do this'. If you book those services then and there.

And I don't care how racist/xenophobic this sounds: staff that speaks English. If I wanted to be mostly unable to communicate with the service provider and hoping for the best, I'd be at a $10 manicure place. She was an exception on the staff, but it was still as stilted and uncomfortable in that respect as being at one of the cheap asian salons.

Still pretty /my one vanity

I was already gonna lose 3 or 4" (last haircut was april), so when she asked if I wanted to cut off 6" for pantene's version of locks of love, I was like 'why not? I haven't had anything but LOOOOONG hair in a while'

So now it's just longish-medium instead of long-long. Moderate layers; no bangs.

Do any of ya'll subscribe to magazines or know where to get them cheap? I'm trying to get Southern Living for my mom and I've looked at a bunch of sites and cheapest I can find is 19.95 for a year. I don't mind paying that but was going to see if ya'll knew something I didn't.

Hello women

I apologize beforehand for any misogynistic overtones, but I figure you guys (gals) can answer this best, and by hiding here and not making a thread, I won't be exposed as a gaylord.

I just bought myself some badass stainless steel cookware. Previously I stored by junky pots and pans in an under counter cabinet, but this is sort of a lame solution. So, is there some awesome way to hang or shelf my new stuff? Like a wild shelf or something, I don't know much about this kind of thing. Hanging from the ceiling isn't really an option; my kitchen ceiling is 11 feet high and I don't really want to bolt anything into a wall I don't own. It's a pretty small kitchen, too, so maybe keep that in mind.

Thanks, and stay fly.

I mean they aren't really worthy of display, so storage is the more important factor. Showing people I have nice shit would be a plus, I guess. My kitchen is pretty bare.

I like #2

Not crazy about the wheels, though. Something about wheels on furniture seems silly to me.

How about a link to that bad boy

that one is a little pricey for me... but i'm sure you can find something similar at target or walmart. and i think the wheels come in handy in the small kitchen

Ladies..

Soho at Crabtree has pashmina scarves for only $10. They had tons of colors and keep selling out and replenishing. I'm hoping they'll have a new shipment in sometime after Christmas so I can go collect some more.

This is my coat and I bought this color to contrast with it:

My calves are not petite. I will say with certainty they're not fat, just muscular. So trying to find boots that fit my calves is incredibly hard and rare.

try going to zappos or nordstrom's a lot of boots are made with wide shafts as well..if you ask them they typically keep some around. I know zappos has their own section for wide shaft boots

I danced, played volleyball, then did lots of weight training so I have big thighs and calves...

I'm not going to lie lunak, they're snug when I first put them on right around the calves and at first they pinched a little when zipping them up but once I started moving around they felt a lot better and by the end of the first night wearing them they felt really good and nicely snug
