just read my grandmother's death notice

even though she died over a week ago

no one thought to send it to us. oh dysfunctional family...

anyway, she was pretty much the shit. never had a (paying) job in her life (i know i know that sounds bad, but she was 91, consider the time period) but she volunteered SO MUCH and won all these awards. what a cool lady. i will miss her.

Thanks! It means that I will more than likely have to seperate myself from the coolest co-worker I've ever had a chance to work with. This guy is really laid back, and honestly, he makes work enjoyable. Not to sound homo, but if I have to change shifts and work with some of these other dipshits in my department or potential new hires who only God knows how well/effective they'll be, it might not be worth it. We'll see. 2 people are expected to leave in a couple months, thus creating the new position for me if all goes as predicted. The "political" drama in my department is shameful. It's very immature and I can't believe some of the e-mails we get. David (my co-worker) and I have our own little world in this department that's "perfect." I'd really hate to lose the one comfort I have with this job, if that makes any sense.
