K, I'm checking out Zappos for some boots

Also, it's officially time for new work shoes...there are holes in the upper where they meet the sole. I can deal with holes at the toes, but those don't let water in so easily

oh lord @ the name + wide shaft

wolfy, what quite are you talking about?

I'm talking about
1) maybe getting some boots
2) replacing my work shoes

The two are separate and unrelated; both will take place on zappos.

^^ i guess i misunderstood what you were saying

i was trying to say that my work boots (uh, steel toe lesbian boots) were super uncomfortable (physically and socially lol) so i bought some dr scholls inserts for them and now i can wear them without killing my feet. they're nice boots but they had zero support.

So my hubby got me this for Christmas.

Fire opal and ruby quartz

Emerald and opal

He got me a magnification mirror for my vanity too (loving it and highly recommend) and other stuff.

BTW, I've decided that I am not going to shop online OR at the mall OR anywhere else for clothes, jewelry, shoes, purses, etc for two whole months

We'll see how this goes.

so i found a pair of those slouchy, Peter Pan-looking boots at the Goodwill...

and i bought a pair of leggings to wear with them...

but i'm wondering if I'm too much of a fat ass to pull them off

there's a hairstyle that I really hate and I'm wondering if it has a name:

it's when you pull your hair back (all the way or part of the way) then pull out 2 strands in front and let them hang down the side of your face. I see often when people dress up for a dance or prom. It's not like the pieces are too short to be pulled back, they're long and scraggly.

so yeah, is that a name for those pieces of hair? I've always referred to them as ghetto strands.

kind of like these:

i know i come in here and talk about haircuts all the time, but this time i'm REALLY going to get one. i don't know why getting a haircut is so traumatic for me. anyway, i haven't had one since feb (yea, last feb) and am in desperate need.

i don't know if i should just keep the shape/style i have and get like 2 - 3 inches cut off (the dead stuff)

or maybe do like 4 inches for a long bob

or if i should be really brave and try something new

like i wonder if i could pull any of these off (i have dark brown hair and my face is on the rounder side):

i'm too scared i'd end up looking like this:

it isn't straight but it isn't curly

i'd say lightly wavy haha (i have to use a flat iron to get it perfectly straight, but it isn't hard to do at all with my hair so it isn't like coarse or super curly!). and it is fine. so i guess thinner!

then I would go with a variation of #2 depending on how you want your bangs...I recently did a variation of a bob as well and the girl who cut my hair did some layers in the back to make it not so blunt..I would go with somebody whose good at cutting short hair.

khcadwal i'll add you on facebook so you can see what my short haircut looks like. Even after months of it growing out, I'm still getting compliments because it was cut so well to begin with and is looking great even when long.

One of two places:

Samuel Cole Salon (right near Millbrook HS) when I had the money because a cut is ~$50 there.
Sara Beard is the GREATEST!!

Mitchell's at Crabtree Valley
I've tried two different girls there.. both were great. The only reason I didn't have a repeat appointment with the first one was because I booked the appointment literally a few hours before I wanted to get it cut (impulse!) ~28 there. If you need any of their names I can call them tomorrow and find out.

I'm so upset!!! I bought the dress from modcloth and I get an email yesterday saying they upgraded the dress to overnight shipping so I would get it on tuesday. Just got an email this afternoon saying they had a glitch in the system and they sold out of the dress (even though I bought it on the 23rd so about 5 days ago)

UGH now I don't know what to wear for new years!!!

nope they haven't called me back yet after I left a voicemail...

Well I've been looking at this dress for the past 2 months and they were sold out until a week ago when they got more so I bought it last week and I guess they sold out of the large and I'm worried that the medium will be too small.

Well I am just getting back to charlotte tomorrow and I leave for charleston wednesday for new years (reason why I'm getting a new dress is because we are going to a slightly more fancier place and i really dont have anything for that type of occasion)

What size do you wear? If you can't borrow directly from her closet, she can tell you exactly where to shop down there.
