You can tell that he hasn't actually looked at any of the court documents because he asks for the name of a guy that appears as "Individual with whom Nancy Cooper had an affair, at least during the first year of her marriage to Brad Cooper" which is confirmed by her sister.

This is my first time listening to the streaming video. Trenkle is the man. There is seriously no way you could be confident that Cooper did it. There are so many logical hurdles that you could convict someone beyond reasonable doubt.

Just seems like the prosecution always went first for closing arguments and the defense goes last because the defense could refute elements of the prosecutions case - getting the "last" word (rebuttals aside) which would create an innocent until proven guilty bias for the defense. It was just odd that it was reversed in this case.

I guess the only important thing is that the prosecution goes first in the opening so the defense knows what to defend themselves against. Guess it's moot who goes first at the end of the trial.
