had to rework about month's worth of SQL design and coding on the fly yesterday due to a high impact defect requiring a major design change. also, 3 days before deadline on a 18 month project.

the corp. project leader gave me a high five this morning.

well it's not really sql i use but rather a specialized language that closely resembles sql for a certain production process control historian (which essentially is a ~1MM point relational db with condition updates on the second)

all actions are coded into generalized and parameterized procedural blocks

every annoying thing that can happen, happened today

got up, ok, so far so good
realize that I have to pay a bill today or ill be in the shit
write check out stuff envelope put it in pile with keys and redbull to go
realize that i need dishwasher soap to run the dishes
thus i have no real bowls
I use the last shallow bowel (more like a plate or a saucer almost) for my cereal
finally get out the door, get down stairs
realize that i forgot to get a sack of garbage....
go back up unlock door get said sack
come back down, drive to mail box area to mail off the bill
realize that it doesn't have postage on it
drive back home unlock door get stamp, relock door back to mail box
drive out of the complex stopping by the garbage compactor
open trunk, realize that limes at the bottom of the the bag have decided to leak out sideways through holes made by the trunk lid...
thankfully it doesn't reek of pukewater (rancid garbage smell)
so now i have a pleasant lime smell in my trunk

pull out on to the road, ok, make my left, ok
see 'need gas' light come on
oh shit
gas station on way to work, ok not bad
get to gas station, realize i dont have my wallet
drive back home, go upstairs unlock door, get wallet, relock door, drive out with 2nd bag of non food garbage which i leave in the compactor after blocking the path b/c some chick in front of me didn't pull up nearly enough
get out of my complex to gas station, swipe card, says i need to see the cashier, bullshit, so i pull out card #2 (no rewards ) works, pump $38 worth of premium gas....
finally get on the road to work....

get to work 40 minutes late....
