Only two, they served a 4 and 6 game suspension respectively. The rest were done for the year or ruled permanently ineligible (Austin, Little)

Houston, who was serving the 6 game suspension, was held out an additional game due to academic eligibility issues --UNC tried to "add" a class for him in Oct. when the add deadline was the end of August. Houston is trying to use a redshirt as well, although he may end up having to play this weekend with White out or if another RB gets hurt.

The NCAA and the press were allowing UNC to handle the academic "prong" without any oversight. UNC took advantage of this situation and cleaned everything up. Most likely she is a willing (paid) scapegoat who will never have anything to say about the reality of the situation. So far UNC is pointing fingers (rogue agents, players and coach) and the tutor is just the next person who is to blame for the situation (poor unlucky UNC for all this to be happening to them). The interesting thing is this is most likely the "cleaned" version of the academic situation at UNC. I wonder what the real situation was like if this is just what they couldn't hide!

Whether she's complicit or not, this is still big news. Regardless of how the info that the tutor paid for player expenses came to light, the natural question now becomes, "Where did the tutor get the money to pay for them?"

This is purely speculation, of course, but it's not too much of a stretch to connect the dots between "tutor paid for player expenses" and "tutor was employed by BMFD to 'help his son'."

"She gave several years of her life trying to uplift, educate and enhance the lives of student-athletes that she worked with and befriended," Cheshire said. A shitload of money is going away when they do start paying players - I give boosters the benefit of the doubt that they are not going to Cam Newton every 4+ star recruit. They might, and I'm out like a boner in sweat pants. No way am I paying for a bunch of guys who can't pass a HS equalivalency exam to get four years of bling, hoes, and Escamalades.

At some point, money will talk. Hopefully, the boosters with the most money stand behind the schools with integrity. I almost see a civil war erupting. Maybe it will coincide with the conference shake up.
