This is like Christmas Day to me still, after all these years and disappointments.

Zyrtec? Check.
Benadryl? Check.

Let the loopiness commence. Maybe they'll let me go home early if I get really whacked out.

I can't decide whether to take allergy meds and feel strung out or suck it up and feel cruddy.

^I've got some purple drank Children's Grape Benadryl here at the office that you can sip on!

Goes well with Zyrtec.

I totally would but I don't do well with fake grape flavored things. I have some generic Benadryl here but it tends to knock me on my ass. Shit's like a roofie.

I never had allergies anywhere (NYC, NC the first time, California) but now I have 'em bad. I don't know why? Is it exceedingly bad this year? More than past years? Or did I somehow become susceptible somehow over the time I spent away from here?

Either way, it sucks...

I have never suffered in the way that I've suffered the last 5 days or so. The pollen in this area has mutated into something straight out of a SyFy movie.

I agree with that. I normally don't have very bad allergies at all but this year they are kicking my butt.

It's the worst pollen dump I've seen in years son. It may literally be the worst in decades.

It's to the point where I can hardly finish my runs without hacking up a lung and looking like I'm crying. I don't even like going to the pool this time of year despite how awesome the weather is.

The only time I took Claritin it didn't do all that much. I feel like a lot of meds don't work for me the way they do for other people. Maybe I'm broken.

i got the CVS-brand Zyrtec yesterday

it seems to be doing the trick. i just went to the bathroom, and while in there i noticed the square tiles on the floor were sorta floating. i think i'm good.

I hate how $$ they all are because it sucks if you have to try a couple kinds to find something that actually works.

It pisses me off that so many outdoor things don't open for another month or so when it's really nice out right now and opening in May doesn't leave much time before it's 100 degrees every day.

I was at Lake Crabtree yesterday and got excited when I saw the canoes out on a rack. But they don't start renting them for another month. That is lame.

^Lake Jordan is renting out their shit. We got a paddle boat yesterday for 8 bucks for an hour. They also have Jon boats, kayaks, and canoes probably.

Turns out bmel and I are too competitive to use one nicely

If y'all are too competitive I'd hate to see Fareako in one

Seriously though, how do you get competitive in a paddle boat? haha

Psh, I'd take him...back in the day .

Well, when you both control the same paddle rod, one person ends up going faster, and the other catches up and goes faster, and then its a vicious cycle until you're both pedaling as fast as possible until one gets too tired and quits Of course this ramp up occurs in a matter of seconds, and repeats every couple of minutes.

I am not good with delayed gratification. I have allergies too but I just suck it up.

^^ That makes sense. Maybe he'd be nice to me since I'm brokenish.

He does. Can you just tie it to the roof rack? I have never moved a canoe before. I figured you needed something special to carry it on.

yeah, you can. if you know simple knotts its not hard at all.

I saw a guy in a sedan move around a ~Queen size mattress on his roof without straps. He just held it with one arm while driving around. This was on Western too

His Jeep has bars on top so you'd be able to strap it down no problem

I would try it because it would be fun to do alone sometime, but I would likely off myself trying to get it down.

if he has any type of rack then you are money. you can even buy straps specifically for this but hell, just buy some rope.

i really miss weekend canoe trips
