it was really really good

i had a girl behind me signing so loud it was overpowering the pa, so i had to move, and lost my sweet spot

she's got a great stage presence, and really has an amazing voice.

some reworkings of some of the songs were really great, but as you might expect, it was disappointingly short.

opener played 25 minutes, 45 minute layover between the two. florence's set was right at 60 minutes, 12 minute encore.

didn't play any new songs, only one not on lungs was a bonus track from the deluxe cd release.

i loved how she kept a floor tom by her mic, and throughout many of the songs would beat on the drum.

the sound at the venue was very disappointing, and couldnt seem to really handle her vocal volume changes... like, going from barely audibly quiet to very loud. granted i understand that's what she was doing, but there's equipment meant to handle this. the rest of the mix was kinda poor too, the harp was totally lost :L

either or, very solid set, she's got a ton of promise for the future, although i dont think i'd pay for a headlining spot again (esp. at a ticketmaster owned venue, with their $10.25 beers and 60% ticket service charges on a $25 ticket) until another album that i really like is released.
