Personally I think Peyton is far and away the best QB in the league.
If I was going to pick one QB starting a team it would be Tom Brady though.
I'm pretty unbiased as a Jets fan... If I wanted a running QB I'd take Chad though

per CNNSI.com....
Quote : | "That's why it's best to hold off on any sweeping pronouncements regarding Michael Vick and his corner-turning as an NFL quarterback. After throwing for seven touchdown passes over a two-game span in Weeks 7-8, beating Pittsburgh and Cincinnati in the process, Vick has now regressed with back-to-back losses to Detroit and Cleveland, tossing two touchdowns and four interceptions in those games. And it was his key fourth-quarter fumble against the visiting Browns that doomed Atlanta on Sunday.
Back to the drawing board, No. 7. " |

damn, i hate talking football with some people
in the course of lunch today here in Atlanta, I got multiple comments about how Vick would have had a great game if there weren't "at least a dozen dropped balls" and that "only one of his three turnovers was his fault." I'm sorry, but if you're ball gets tipped, it's your fault for not getting it over the line. And if the ball is in your hands, that's where you are supposed to keep it.
Then again, these are the same guys who told me that South Carolina almost beating Florida didn't show that UF was weak, because "SC could beat any team in the Big East" and that UGA won because the SEC is so deep (but expertly glossed over that loss at home to Vandy) 11/13/2006 1:52:22 PM |

Mr. Vick had the biggest drop of the game. Also, he's back to throwing like Billy Wagner. I saw more of this game than I wanted to, and the touch just wasn't there - guess what happened when it was? The guys caught the football.
I can't believe that nine games in now, you haven't noticed this. But Vick is supposed to throw the ball 900km/h, and the WRs are just supposed to hold on to it. That's preposterous.11/14/2006 1:51:30 AM |

i agree with alot of shit rally says, but eventually you gotta quit making excuses and realize you just lost back to back games against shitty......shitty teams. you can use the injuries excuse, but anybody can tell you thats part of the game. you can use the dropped passes excuse, but thats part of the game as well. the qb is who you blame when the offense isnt producing, and hes who you give credit to when the offense is producing. you cant just pick and choose. put shaub in and i guarantee the falcons start winning. i hope they dont though, so the falcons keep losing to shitty teams and take themselves out of the race.
also....i could give a fuck less about how many "rush yards" he had. if he cant pass for shit than what good is he? you ever see a team in the super bowl that has 2 running backs and no qb?

and vick is a lot of the reason why his receivers drop his balls...he doesnt have any touch whatsoever...all of his passes are missiles and a lot of them fade away...making it hard for his receivers to catch 11/14/2006 11:19:19 AM |

Jim Rome ripped Vick on "Rome is Burning" today. For some reason Vick was trying to blame the loss on someone else. Rome said something along the lines of...."You go 16-40, 2 ints, and 1 key fumble when you're in scoring position and you're trying to put the blame on someone else?? Come on."
He went on to talk about his inconsistency and how incredible talent does not make a good QB (OH WOW...WHERE HAVE I HEARD THAT BEFORE). He also said something about how if Vick doesn't get it now...he probably never will.
Good thing rally isn't posting in this thread until Vick makes the Pro Bowl. (1) Because he really has no argument right now and (2) It means he'll probaly never post in this thread again. 11/14/2006 5:46:11 PM |

Quote : | "Vick, who never has strung together four above-average passing games (posting QB ratings of 80 or more), remains one of the most electric athletes ever to grace a gridiron. He is smooth, fast and dangerous as a runner. He has a magnificent arm for throwing deep. But those qualities aren't enough to define real greatness.
He continues to struggle with accuracy on short passes, and making wise decisions when a play breaks down still seems out of his grasp. Those two issues came home to roost Sunday.
Vick may not have been to blame in this game the way he was in the two previous losses at Detroit and against Cleveland, when he combined for six turnovers. In this loss, Vick's lack of contribution was far more subtle.
Whether significant or subtle, Vick's lack of consistency appears to be undermining the Falcons. That was evident during two critical moments of the game. " |

ten pass attempts for 19 yards.
4-10
that's 1.9 yards per attempt
rushing yards or not, that sucks ass.
Ladanian Tomlinson could be put in at QB and probably have equal or better numbers than vick's passing numbers. and have good rushing numbers too obviously
