anymore of the target bumblebee around, you know, the one with the blue accents? I wasn't interested in these at first, but the other three are very good looking in person. though these are def. "leave in package" toys.


also, premium prime and megatron are super pretty. def. gonna get blackout when i see him again, not impressed with ironhide though.

The target exclusives are Brawl, Jazz, Barricade, and Bumblebee in deluxe sizes, but really nice cylindrical packaging. They feature random blue paint accents. Brawl and Jazz are still pretty findable, Cary target still had a couple of each.

I found one each of the Prime and Megs, and those were the ones I got. Got 'em at Brier Creek Target last weekend. Very worth it.

Pics of the Classics Galvatron are in this month's Toyfare. I am actually highly impressed with it - especially the detailing on the robot mode. I've never been down with Megatron being a tank, but Galvatron is a different story.

I did not go to Botcon, I am broke. But here's the general recap:


MP Thundercracker and MP Grimlock are next in that line.

Lots of neat looking Cybertron repaints on the way for Universe/Classics 2.0. And apparently a "Targetmaster Cyclonus" was shown during the "no pictures" slideshow that will blow everyone's brain away with its awesome.

More pictures of the 3rd party produced upgrade set for Classics Magnus. Preorders up on TFSource... BBTS had 'em up for a day and they sold out preorders. Thankfully I got mine in.

Titanium Skywarp will be a SDCC exclusive (oh joy ), and Titanium War Within Prowl and War Within Grimlock will be Toys R Us exclusives later this year (oh joy x2 ).

Most of the other news was for animated, and I could care less about it.

Ah, I was thinking that might be the case. I'm an easy sell for almost all things Ultra Magnus (so long as he's not just a white Optimus), so I may pick this one up.

Speaking of Ultra Magnus, how did the Titanium figure become so valuable...? I just looked on eBay and there's one going for $70 with 3 hours remaining. For as cool as it looked at first glance, it's really a sloppy mess. I didn't think these were all that rare?

^^ I only saw Titanium G1 Magnus once out at stores, it was a late release in a dead (at the time dying) line. Glad I got mine online because in mass retail it was only sent out in one wave and then never again, hence the "rarity".

Just spotted a premium Prime the other day and was sorely tempted to get it. I think I'll wait to find it at Target so I can use a coupon, though.

Did y'all see that Wal-Mart.com is selling Masterpiece Skywarp? It's eligible for Site-to-Store, which makes it extremely tempting for me. I just wish they had Megatron.

Anybody going to get the Classics Ultra Magnus armor upgrade kit? That thing looks amazing.

I preordered that UM upgrade kit. Way too cool to resist.

and Axelay, Skywarp is completely worth it. Fits in the MP line sooo well. Premium Prime is worth it if you like the mold/character a lot, for me it was more of a "rabid completionist" thing.

I'm still contemplating it. My problem is that I kinda feel like I have to choose between one or the other right now, and the other is a VF-0S from Macross (which, coincidentally, is Kawamori's best-known work). Don't want to draw too much fire from the fiancee this close to the big day. Someone on another site I visit might sell me a Zero, so I'm waiting to see what happens. I imagine I'll probably break down and get Skywarp as well over the summer, so I hope that Wal-Mart will keep it up there.

^yeah, mine does have a messed up cockpit, but only one half of it. Its a simple gear issue, i'm just not sure I want to pop the fig open to fix it :l

I think Magnus is an August release, or something around there.

The new classics can be had easily online from what I hear; they've hit mass retail in Canada. Not until next month here (I think...)

They've got plenty of everything Wave 1 at the TRU in Cary. That includes deluxe Prowl, Bumblebee, Prime, Lockdown, voyager Bulkhead, Megatron, and Starscream, and the Megs/Prime deluxe two-pack.

I only picked up SS, even though the voyager Megs looks nice. The robot is pretty damn cool, but the transformation is almost all automorph and isn't nearly as fun as Prowl/Lockdown.

Here's what I'm thinking about getting now for Animated.. Prowl, Voyager Prime, Voyager Megatron, Starscream, and Blitzwing. The others I'm not sure about.

Saw a bunch of animated stuff at the the TRU in Cary and Target at North Hills over the weekend.

I'm hearing classics 2.0 are already out around California. It shouldn't be much longer til they arrive here.

Did anybody every find Big Daddy, Jolt, Grindcore, and/or Divebomb at any WalMarts around Raleigh? I never saw them. I ended up getting Big Daddy and Jolt at a WalMart in Goldsboro once and Divebomb in Clayton. I need Grindcore now.

I got Jolt and Divebomb around here, Grindcore and Big Daddy were shortpacked in that assortment and I had to go to ebay for Grindcore and got someone from around fayetteville to grab me a Big Daddy for cost + a finder's fee.
