gosh, last night's episode was amazing. so much build-up with everything! i can't wait to see what happens with sookie, i love the whole bill/lorena thing, i'm anxious to see where this lafayette thing is going...and most of all, this whole FOTS thing is finally getting interesting. i was getting so bored with it.

I thought last night's episode was great, much better than last week's. The Bill/Lorena flashback was pretty intense and downright nasty. It was weird to see Bill so cruel and brutal after having him built up as such a softy thus far. The Eggs "I know where I'm going but I don't know where I'm going" thing was pretty interesting, I was kinda glad to see that he's a pawn in all this instead of a weird minion like Karl. Hoyt and Jessica were a nice break from all the violence and treachery. Lots going on, looking forward to next week.

discussions on Maryann, cause I've been thinking about it off and on today............

so, I can't figure out if Maryann actually turns in to the bull creature or not. Why have the bull mask if you turn in to the bull? Possibly the orgy and Sam is the sacrifice (the last being Ms. Jeanette at the middle-of-the-woods pagan campsite Eggs led Tara to), and then the bull comes? Or maybe it's after feeding off madness and the orgy to build a "reserve" so to speak, up til the point of enough feeding that it's the sacrifice that then allows Maryann to turn in to the bull? Then her body just kind of forms to the mask, b/c we've seen her hands change to the claws...

Maybe I just answered my own question

yeah...i mean she was scratched on her back we know, but her heart was also cut out. that big ass knife was definitely for cutting out something.

there were also clothes left behind at the campsite Eggs led Tara to...they basically showed up to Sookie's house to the present day version of what they just left.

then after the sacrifice, the bull can come back to prey on others until it's ran out of it's madness/orgy fuel...which we saw it come back after Sookie, but failed.

I liked how funny this episode was - lots of great humor. The conversation between Jason and Luke, then the scene in the church office with Sookie and her fake fiance.

w/r/t the campsite that Eggs was drawn to.... I know it's supposed to be a mystery of when he was there before, or how he knew to go there or whatever, but I didn't like the dialogue once they got there - it just didn't make sense. They were walking around, with ripped and blood-stained clothing laying everywhere, and Tara was wary, but still kind of sarcastic, while Eggs was obviously disturbed. Then Eggs saw one rock with blood on it, and Tara freaked ("omg, is that bluuud?") even though there was already blood on all the clothes. Then Eggs says "it can't be a coincidence" that they came there..... what can't be a coincidence? We/he already knew he was having some kind of weird deja vu or repressed memory or something that led them there, but now they see blood and now he's curious that it "can't be a coincidence"? And when he said that, Tara got all weepy and "let me help you, it'll be ok."

Anyway, i'm sure we'll learn something about Eggs' past that tells us what that place was, but either way, the storyline didn't unfold very well.


oh yeah - the Jason/Sara(?) sex scene was lame. Last week we get a naked Jason and a handjob, and this week they just fall out of frame after her shirt comes off? Come on!

I'm not sure but I think Tara might be the sacrifice. We know based on the promos that Sam makes it out, but there is a shot of someone getting stabbed in the stomach, it looks like the same shirt Tara was wearing. Granted Tara is currently naked, so that wouldn't make sense... but we shall see.

nah...I think Eggs is just another person like Tara. I think his background story is legit of being in and out of foster homes as a kid, he got in to some shit and then Maryann came along to "save him." He just kinda pals around with her now b/c he doesn't see anything that she is doing as wrong......and the stuff he might think is wrong he's in a memory loss, black eyed, trance so he doesn't remember.

The whole "sex in blood" flashback was pretty chilling. Made me think of Angel, where he would always mention how much of a sadistic killer he was when he had no soul, but could never actually show anything since it was a normal cable show. Really good episode overall, finally some real good plot developments.

sometimes, i wonder if the acting is bad on purpose, but then i think it couldn't be, but tara is pretty bad - not as bad as the white cook though b/c he is horrible, as is the drunk sheriff (even though i think the drunk cop is meant to be that silly)

it's hard to get past the acting sometimes, but i'm with the others that think it had gotten boring, but sunday's ep. was pretty awesome

^yeah i agree. I think the characters are being portrayed the way they're supposed to be (except Tara, that actress sucks IMO). Andy is supposed to be a basketcase and over the top. Terry is supposed to be twitchy and awkward and inconsistent. btw, Terry's defense and consolation of Lafayette was pretty heartwarming (no homo).

Finally! (series) answers on Maryann and some movement towards the plot on that besides these damn orgies.

Loved the flashback with Bill and Lorena again. Jason kickin ass and his face during the dialogue w/ Sarah was hilarious. And Eric with the best line of the episode, "yes, they certainly don't keep well."
