Ok...when I made my comments about Jackson Pollock I was referring to not just you but to all who say ignorant things about his work without really knowing what they are talking about.

I think your work could use more depth. If you are trying to get your name out there these types of paintings will not do it. They have been done before and have just been spent. There are ways that you can take this type of painting and make it your own. Honestly art is truthfully sold for decorum purposes and I could honestly see someone buying your stuff but the truth of the matter is you will never make a name for yourself doing what has been massed produced by machines. Find something that will exude who you are and paint that. If it is this type of painting you need to make it your own. I will NEVER buy something that I feel does not represent the artist and if someone does buy your stuff it is bc they don't have a damn clue about an artist's worth.

Sorry for offending you...I am very passionate about artist and their work and when I see one that I know is not giving full potential or worth I get pretty pissed. Watch the comments you make about yourself and your work bc that is what has given me the idea you are not confident in what you do and therefor possesses no grounds for compliments. I am grateful that you are putting your work out there but I swear girl it needs more heart. Give it some life.

my paintings from high school are better than this (ok well maybe not better, but comparable) and i got a B- in high school art.

seriously. i'm a failure at painting. i have bad spatial reasoning skills. i couldn't even ever figure out how to make something look 3D. or paint a city street with buildings (like the kind where it seems like you are looking down the street). if i can find my old "art" (it is seriously horrible, it MAY be worse than kiwi's) i will take pictures and post them in here so everyone can laugh. also it may boost kiwi's self esteem. OR my paintings may look eerily similar to hers.

i think i even have my own version of that boat picture that my teacher wouldn't even grade. she made me redo everything.
