WOW, anyone watching the real madrid game? Ramos and Xabi Alonso just got sent off on purpose, so that they can get their suspensions out of the way next game. They took a goal kick and free kick respectively and time wasted until they were given a second yellow card each. Fucking horse shit, i hope they get destroyed. I've never seen anyone do something like that. 11/23/2010 4:36:43 PM |

i see that side of it too, but it was like they were rubbing it in during the game. they were already up 4-0 and they just thought they could go 2 men down and cake walk it (which they did). I dunno, I already hate real madrid and i don't like seeing them take advantage of rules so that they can benefit later. 11/23/2010 4:45:54 PM |

wow ok i just saw the highlights of that game and they showed both...i was like this is way too retarded and obvious of time wasting. i didnt even think about the yellow card situation...pretty fucking gay. ive always hated this team, but now i have even more reason to hate them. 11/23/2010 11:04:22 PM |

Strange yellows indeed. Alonso backs up like 20 feet on his free kick.

It is true the ref was giving out weird yellow cards in the beginning of the game, but he had to give those ones for time wasting. Xabi and Ramos were so blatant. Ramos took a goal kick and just stood there stuttering until the guy sent him off. Then ramos shook his hand and walked off. It was really, really arrogant and lame. 11/24/2010 10:23:28 AM |

UEFA charged mourinho, ramos, alonso, dudek, and casillas with improper conduct. im hoping they all get three game bans for this crap so that this never happens again. set a precedent now. 11/25/2010 12:46:57 PM |

This is bullshit. You can't ban them because you can't prove intent on something like that. If they do get a ban, it's UEFA pitching a fit because Mourinho has outsmarted them. 11/25/2010 12:55:34 PM |

yeah you can ban them and they should be banned. i cant recall anything as ridiculous as this (in terms of similarity). and its not mourinho outsmarting fifa, since this is already something in the rulebook. no one else has done this probably cause they have integrity and sportsmanship...something which seeing mourinho go from club to club and the way he acts with the press, players, and club owners shows he has very little of.

you right.
but this wasn't Mourinho's original idea, it's happened before I'm sure (happened against us in high school actually and it was humiliating) but the problem was how blatant it was 11/25/2010 2:22:34 PM |

unsporting? yes. smart? very. took advantage of a loop hole. don't see how you can ban them for it. make it clear now that it will result is punishment. let's be honest though, lose xabi and sergio, insert pepe and granero. i think they will manage. 11/25/2010 3:29:39 PM |

yeah im sure its happened in other places, but i just cant recall it happening with such a big team. i cant believe this team or mourinho feels the need to stoop to such low class and tactics to try and win.
and yeah, the blatantness of what they did irked me. its humiliating to do it to the team they are playing against too. i would be pretty pissed if i were ajax players as well. no respect to the team they are playing against, to other teams, to the competition, etc. it puts the game into disrepute. im not sure how you could defend this at all whether a fan, opposition or neutral party to this team. i would be disgusted with SAF if he did this at manchester united.
ive been on the fence of whether or not id like mourinho to come to united after SAF, but he just keeps doing things i do not like. i just dont think i could pull for united as much as i do now if mourinho were to come in after ferguson :/
^what if they lose mourinho, ramos, xabi, casillas, and dudek for a couple games next round? 3rd string keeper with the possibility of playing someone like manchester united or arsenal next round if they dont win their groups. id be a little more than nervous if i were a madrid fan.

It's more disrespectful to the next team they are playing. They basically said "yeah, we don't need these two assholes to beat you guys anyway."
They should have just taken someone out to get their second yellows. Then we wouldn't be talking about this. 11/25/2010 3:33:41 PM |
amac884 All American 25609 Posts user info edit post |
i just can't imagine a 3 game ban for that. but, let's wait a minute here. arsenal? lol, they will be lucky to get through the way they are playing and i think real would dispatch them with relative ease regardless. dudek can get a lifetime ban for all i care. he still still deserves punishment for that shoot out performance when he was with lolverpool. 11/25/2010 3:36:51 PM |

yeah its very disrespectful to auxerre too. could be asking for auxerre to be going a little stronger into some challenges.
^lol for winning the CL for them?
and arsenal are definitely in. they are playing a team who lost all 5 games of the CL so far. if they lose that game ill prob lol myself to death
