the wild pitch allowed the runner to get from 1st to 2nd

then a single hit into left field wasnt controlled by the LF allowing the run to score

so i guess better, in the sense that they didnt steal home in the 15th

What a great start, followed by such crap. It was also hot as balls for the first few innings. Then it got cooler with a slight breeze as the skies clouded up, but eventually became mostly sunny in the late innings. Lots of Stetson fans there---probably aided with support from some USC fans.

There was one USC fan who kept yelling at Avent about not pitching our two best pitchers last year in the regional. For the record, pitching last year was completly controlled by Coach Holliday, but due to the way that played out Avent took over for pitching decisions or put it at 60/40 with Avent basically having the final word. We will start Mazz tomorrow and should be ready. The Conner/Senay decision is based on what handed pitcher we are going against. It's a nice park, but for 35 mill I would expect more shade of the seats.

ACC was 5-2 yesterday, us and GT being the 2 losses. Tech was obviously the bigger surprise losing to Austin Peay 2-1. Not sure what happened to Tech's starter. He only faced 7 batters, giving up 1 hit, 1 walk and was replaced.
