It'd be interesting to see what the contract says. Since her family paid to have the song and video made, do they claim ownership since they "bought it"? Also, I'm sure the songwriter would want whatever royalties are coming his way. This seems kind of trivial since the total revenue from the song can't be >100k and I doubt there will be a lot of future royalties.

I listened to it. I think they autotuned/whatever the song because that's what's popular right now--although autotune can do regular pitch correction to hide imperfections. Her voice is certainly no worse than say Britney Spears or Ke$ha. I know that's a low bar to set but she sings well enough to do ok.

I predict this will be a modest hit. It speeds up and slows down though--not really a dance song, not really a midtempo pop song. It's kind of weird, and the dancing in the video seems forced.

Yeah, she had a live version of Friday and it was... not bad. You know, aside from the song.
